Visitors to a gallery in Scotland have been defacing the Bible in the name of art. The Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow has invited art lovers to write their thoughts down in an open Bible on display as part of its Made in God’s Image exhibition. Next to the Bible lie several pens with a note saying: “If you feel you have been excluded from the Bible, please write your way back into it”. Several visitors have already taken up the offer, choosing to leave messages of abuse and obscenity rather than support for the words of God. “This is all sexist pish, so disregard it all,” one message read. Another scrawled over the first page of Genesis: “I am Bi, Female & Proud. I want no god who is disappointed in this”. I first wrote about this here earlier this year and  am still standing by what I wrote then, as per Obama Worship craze, you can read it for yourself. This is really getting out of hand , I wonder how much of this Idolatry our Heavenly Father will take from us before He sends His wrath upon us. I think it’s time we as Christians should cry and wail to God in repentance for our nations and ask God to heal our land .This is not the time for fund raising by the Church, hosting tea parties,Preaching on how God wants us to be rich and happy or even how to have great sex in marriage and other mundane issues but, a time for the Church to humble herself in penitence. We (the Church) have been so involved with so much Worldly activities that we didn’t know when the enemy snuck in  at night and sowed tares amongst our wheat and now we have to live with the bushy situation… metaphorically speaking. In all I I believe that the prophecies are being fulfilled just as our Lord Jesus spoke of and promised us, so Christians should not freak out but rather become aware of the what the Bible says about the End time events.

"The Truth" by Michael D’Antuono

By Drew Zahn© 2009 WorldNetDaily Sunday, April 26, 2009 Today’s Edition . 100 days in office,Obama coronated Messiah Arms outstretched, he wears crown of thorns on his brow–WND

On his 100th day in office, President Obama will be "crowned" in messianic imagery at New York City’s Union Square.

Artist Michael D’Antuono’s painting "The Truth" – featuring Obama with his arms outstretched and wearing a crown of thorns upon his head – will be unveiled on April 29 at the Square’s South Plaza.

According to a statement released about the portrait, "The 30" x 54" acrylic painting on canvas depicts President Obama appearing much like Jesus Christ on the Cross: atop his head, a crown of thorns; behind him, the dark veil being lifted (or lowered) on the Presidential Seal. But is he revealing or concealing, and is he being crucified or glorified?"

Even the title of the piece, "The Truth," suggests a play on biblical themes, as Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

"More than a presidential portrait," writes D’Antuono on a website touting the painting, "’The Truth’ is a politically, religiously and socially-charged statement on our nation’s current political climate and deep partisan divide that is sure to create a dialogue."

Like others in the news who have depicted Obama in Christ-like imagery, D’Antuono insists he isn’t claiming the man is Messiah, but only inviting "individual interpretations."

"’The Truth,’ like beauty, is in the eyes of the beholder," claims the exhibit’s press release.

D’Antuono even invites the public to email him with reactions to the piece, answering his posed question, "What’s your

As WND has reported, D’Antuono follows others who have cast Obama in messianic imagery.

Clark’s Obama sculpture, riding a donkey at the Iowa Capitol

In January, artist Matthew J. Clark paraded a sculpture of Obama riding a donkey and preceded by waving palm fronds, reminiscent of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem in the 21st chapter of Matthew as foretold by the prophet Zechariah: "Behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass."

Like D’Antuono, Clark was also unclear about whether his piece was proclaiming Obama to be the Christ or making some social commentary. Clark’s website described the sculpture in vague terms:

"This project was inspired by my thoughts about ‘icons’ and religious symbols and whether they represent truth or merely represent," Clark’s website reads. "The sculpture poses a question that relates to social conventions, metaphysics, and the collective response of society in reaction to fearful and uncertain times, but doesn’t impose an answer. For me, it has much more to do with the general public as followers than any leader granted power."

Others, such as Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, have been far clearer in their nearly religious adoration of Obama. As WND reported, Farrakhan declared last year that when Obama talks, "the Messiah is absolutely speaking."

Addressing a large crowd behind a podium with a Nation of Islam Saviour’s Day 2008 sign, Farrakhan proclaimed, "You are the instruments that God is going to use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn’t care anything about. That’s a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking."

Farrakhan pointed out that the man Nation of Islam followers refer to as "the Savior," Fard Muhammad, had a black father and a white mother, just as Obama did.

"A black man with a white mother became a savior to us," he said. "A black man with a white mother could turn out to be one who can lift America from her fall."

WND previously reported a website called "Is Barack Obama the Messiah?" capturing the wave of euphoria that followed the Democratic senator’s remarkable rise.

The site is topped by an Obama quote strategically ripped from a Jan. 7 speech at Dartmouth College just before the New Hampshire Primary in which he told students, "… a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote" for Obama.

WND also reported on near-religious experiences surrounding Obama on the campaign trail, as supporters who came to hear him speak on several occasions fainted in the middle of the candidate’s speeches. As WND reported, some compared the fainting to fanatical swooning in the midst of a mesmerizing preacher; others, like radio host Michael Medved, thought the collapses were staged moments; and still others believed it was simply a matter of people standing in the crowds too long and growing dehydrated.

P.J. Gladnick of NewsBusters, in an article about D’Antuono’s painting on the eve of the Obama administration’s 100-day-mark, notes that the messianic parallels begun early in the presidential campaign don’t seem to be stopping:

"The artist quite clearly portrays Obama as a latter day Christ-like figure, considering the outstretched arms and the crown of thorns. Obama worship, complete with halo images, has been noted before," writes Gladnick, "but it was nothing compared to current expressions in awe of ‘The One’ as we approach his hundredth day in office on Wednesday."

Who is the Jesus of the New Age Movement? culled form the website LET US REASON TOGETHER MINISTRIES

There are many who are unaware of the New Age Movement and do not know

The New Age movement agrees with many philosophers that when Christ was a youth at age 12 to the age of 30 Years old Jesus became an explorer who traveled to far off lands.

According to one story, Jesus came to Japan in his early 20s, studied Japanese culture and religion and then returned to Judea when he was 33 to begin his ministry. He was never crucified because he switched places with his younger brother Isukiri and managed to flee across Siberia to Alaska and back to Japan by boat. Jesus settled in Shingo married, and had three daughters and lived until age 106. This theory first emerged in the 1930s when researchers claimed to have found a “will of Christ,” which indicated a burial mound that was believed to fit the theory found in the village about 370 miles north of Tokyo.

This is what is called the “lost 18 years”-promoted in The Aquarian Gospel and Elizabeth Claire Prophet’s book the lost years of Jesus. They try to fill in his history that is supposedly missing in the bible to account for his great powers and miracles. So they have stories of Jesus who traveled to spiritual centers in India and Egypt, and Tibet. He studied under spiritual masters, in India. Jesus is known to them as Issa (the Muslims name of Jesus the prophet), he became a master Hindu yogi, experiencing self-realization through Kundalini yoga. He later studied and mastered Vedic and Buddhist teaching. He then attained God- consciousness. He was initiated in the Hermetic mystery school in Heliopolis, approved by a world council. When he returned to his native people in Israel, He taught a Hindu world view that was veiled in terms that the Hebrews would understand. There is different levels to his teaching. One was literal which was for the masses the other is the true Spiritual knowledge that are secret teachings discovered by the initiates who are trained in occult knowledge.

If you have heard these kind of stories your not alone. Today they are quite common among adepts of occult knowledge. Much of all this can be traced to a hopeful rumor started almost a century ago. The most widely circulated report was alleged by Nicholas Notovitch who claimed that while traveling in Tibet in the late 1800s he was told by Tibetan lamas that a record of Jesus visiting them existed in a Himalayan monastery. In the early 1900s another visitor to Tibet was allegedly told the same thing. no one who had the ability to read and translate such “records” ever saw them, no copy was ever brought to the West as proof of these claims. The story now is that the “records” have been destroyed. (reference- Berean Call).

How convenient! This is too similar to the gold plates of Mormonism and Islam’s tablets for the Koran. No proof except an experience or hearsay.

This contradicts everything Jesus said and did, which was the very opposite of the teachings of Hinduism and Buddhism. These fraudulent stories demonstrate how difficult it is to invent a fictitious history of Jesus and to make it fit into actual events on this earth. The theory of Jesus studying in India under the gurus simply does not fit into the New Testament record. The gurus are all vegetarians. Jesus ate the Passover lamb, fed multitudes with fish, after His resurrection ate fish demonstrating to He was actually resurrected bodily. Jesus taught one life and then judgment, heaven or hell as places of location for eternal occupancy, not reincarnation or karma.

Not only are these new age stories antithetical to Judaism but even more to what Jesus taught as there being only one God separate from his creation and sin needing to be dealt with. There are 3 feasts, 2 in spring one in fall that every Jew must attend or they would have broken the law. If Christ had broken even the smallest law he would have become a sinner like the rest of us and would have been disqualified to the Messiah. To travel to India or Tibet and return back for any of the feasts in Israel makes this an impossibility; much less his being gone for 18 missing years. Remember this all occurred before he was revealed as the messiah so he was not using any supernatural abilities. He never quoted any other book but the Old Testament, no other prophet except his own, which makes this all unlikely if he learned all this knowledge elsewhere.

The Scripture has a completely different view than the occultists. What is used as silence as missing years is actually used against Jesus for his claims as a being the Messiah the Son of God.

Luke 4:22 ” So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said, “Is this not Joseph’s son?”
Luke 2:41-47 His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. “And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast When they had finished the days, as they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem. … they returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him. Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.” Jesus did not have to travel and study to get his knowledge, he already possessed it. How? He was born with it, he was God.
Luke 2:11: “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” He was Christ when he was born, he didn’t become a Christ or have the Christ spirit to come upon him. He was Yahweh, the Lord who incarnated only once among the people he gave His laws to and prophesied by the words of their own prophets (Isa.9:6).

After the incident in the temple we find the scripture state Luke 2:51-52: “Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them, but His mother kept all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” He didn’t go travel seeking wisdom he had it and he stayed with his mother.

Jesus was specifically taught by His Father unlike any other person. Isaiah 50:4-7: “The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, he awakens My ear to hear as the learned. The Lord GOD has opened My ear; and I was not rebellious, nor did I turn away. I gave My back to those who struck Me, and My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.” For the Lord GOD will help Me; therefore I will not be disgraced; therefore I have set My face like a flint, and I know that I will not be ashamed.”
Mark 6:2-3: “He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, “Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands! “Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” And they were offended at Him.” The peoples argument is clear, we know him and his family how is this possible, he did not have the time to go off and study like others who devoted their lives to the scriptures.

John 7:26-27: “Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ? “However, we know where this Man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from.” Again the peoples argument we know Jesus so how can he be the Christ.

The term “Christ” is an interesting one because it means the one and only anointed one of God- according to the Bible. The New Age borrows the scriptural term and states it is an office. While this is partially true, it points to a person whose office is not succeeding, but uniquely for only one that would be born of a virgin, sinless and before the 2nd temple would be destroyed.

Hilton Hotema in his book Mystery man of the Bible Surmises that Christ is actually Appolonius and that Jesus did not exist. Others who are equally enlightened have similar opinions, but all are assumptions.

The disciple Jesus of 2,000 years ago has by now become one of the most senior Masters in the Hierarchy: the Master Jesus. He reached His state of perfection in the course of His next life as Apollonius of Tyana. Many of those who followed Him during His life as Jesus were still alive during this subsequent incarnation — and many of them became convinced that Jesus had reappeared in their midst. It was Apollonius who undertook a journey to India which became the basis for the story, which many believe, that Jesus did not die on the cross but went to India and died in Kashmir, having lived to a venerable old age” (Jesus of Nazareth and Maitreya the Christ by Peter Liefhebber, Share International) (published by Lucis Publishing Co.) Peter Liefhebber is a veteran Dutch journalist.

He also states “In reality Jesus was a fourth-degree initiate and one of the older disciples of the Masters of Wisdom. He appeared before in biblical times as Joshua, the son of Nun, then as Isaiah, and again as Joshua in the book of Zachariah. In Palestine he made the great sacrifice of allowing himself to be used by Maitreya to fulfill His mission during the three years following the baptism in the River Jordan.

This is a fable which many of the occultists and initiates into secret wisdom teachings of the far east invent because they must deny the validity and accuracy of the Bible.

WHO IS GOD?

Marilyn Furgueson tells a story of a friend having a pantheistic revelation of God.” All of a sudden I saw that she was God and the milk was God, I mean, all she was doing was pouring God into God. (Aquarian conspiracy)

When Jesus said, ‘I am the door,’ he meant that I AM in each soul is the door through which the life, power and substance of the great I AM which is God comes forth into expression through the individual.” (Teachings of the Masters of the far East p.39)

Creme agrees and explains “…the forces of evil are part of God. They are not separate from God. Everything is God. … “YOU are God. I am God. This microphone is God. This table is God, All is God (The Reappearance of the Christ and the Masters Of Wisdom, Benjamin Creme pp. 103,110)

Creme’s opinion given to him by his master, Lord Maitreya, you and I are not God and Jesus did not claim to be God.The Christ is the Master ‘Of all the Masters , but He is not God, and never claimed to be God.”

Maitreya says “In Awe do men await Me. My friends, I am not God. As your Brother, your Friend, your Teacher, do I come. Forget this not.” (EXCERPT of MAITREYA’s MESSAGE NO. 67) This is probably a freudian slip of the truth by our friendly Christ impersonator to say he is not God. (To dispel any confusion…

Then he contradicts himself and teaches we are all god.

My Task will be to take you into the Light of your own true nature, and realise for you the Gods you are. (EXCERPT of MAITREYA’s MESSAGE NO. 71)

May the Divine Light and Love and Power of the One Most Holy God be now manifest within your hearts and minds. May this manifestation lead you to see each other as the gods you are. (Message 13 Feb. 1982) So he is not God who is called the master of masters but we are. HMMM.

My plans unfold, My way is cleared. There are growing around Me now those who recognize Me as the spirit of the New Time. They give Me their trust and allegiance, and I speak for them. When you see Me, My friends and brothers, you, too, can join this band of workers, this Company of Light, and make manifest the God within. (EXCERPT of MAITREYA’s MESSAGE NO. 67)

Do not try to worship Me” Maitreya counsels. “If you worship Me, you are trying to lower yourself. I do not want this. I want you to be equal. You are a spark of the Supreme Being. Do not think you are below Me.” (‘Maitreya’s Mission Vol. II, by Benjamin Creme; (Share International; Amsterdam, London and Los Angeles) In other words you can worship yourself. This is what the masters have been falsely telling there adherents for centuries. “We know the greatest of all teachers came to show more fully that the Christ in him and through whom he did his mighty works is the same Christ that lives in you, in me in all mankind; that by applying his teachings do all the works that he did and greater works” (Baird Spalding Teachings of the Masters of the Far East p16).

Decked in all of the colors of the rainbow, glowing with the Light of God, man, one day will stand upright in his divinity. This I promise you.” (Message no. 4)

Benjamen Creme says, “One doesn’t pray to oneself, one prays to the God within. The thing is to learn to invoke that energy which is the energy of God. Prayer and worship as we know it today will gradually die out and men will be trained to invoke the (inner) power of deity” (The Reappearance of Christ and the Masters of Wisdom, pp. 135-136)

Benjamen Creme and others also tell Christians and others not to pray to Jesus because Jesus is not God but a disciple of Lord Maitreya. Even the Apostle Paul, who is now called “the Master Hilarian” is ahead of Jesus in the spiritual hierarchy: “… Christ is not God. He is not coming as God…. He would rather you didn’t pray to Him but to God within you.”

Benjamen Creme and the New Age Christ says to go inside yourself this is where all knowledge is found. If this were true then one would not have to read any books or learn from any educator, they would just go inside themselves and learn it all. We can dispense with all our education and teach people meditation and other occult techniques to learn everything we need to know. Jesus never taught Hinduism, and to remove him from his culture and time is inventing a fable, it is to have another Jesus (2 Cor.4,14.) The New age, the gurus, the spiritual masters need to have a meeting to decide what they are actually going to teach as error. It’s become so confusing to choose which falsehood one will follow these days. Its more assuring to stay with the literal truth which has had many infallible proofs. The Bible has been proven to be the eternal Word of God to people of all generations.

god-and-wifeHe stirs up controversy wherever he has tried to settle and he and his family are always on the run due to what he proclaims himself to be.

He believes he is the deity and the father of Jesus Christ. For this, he claims to have escaped countless attempts on his life.

Meet ‘Jehovah Mungu Mwenye Enzi’ Wanyonyi, 92.

You might easily dismiss him for an insane man suffering from illusions but for the confidence he exudes when asserting that there is no other god but he.

He claims not to be human and came to the world just like his ‘son’ did more than 2,000 years ago. He will, therefore, not die as humans do.

In Wanyonyi’s homestead at Chemororoch location, Uasin Gishu District, are five small grass thatched houses. In the middle of the compound stands a red flag and a table on which is placed a sword.

He boasts 15 wives and over 60 children, who labour on people’s farms in order to earn a living and feed the old man whose advanced age does not allow him to work.

god-in-kenyaflag, also red, are a sign that the end of the world is nigh. The sword will be used to punish the evil people of the world, Wanyonyi declares.

When we drove into the compound children, young men and women milled around the car inquiring about our mission.

A woman I later learn is referred to as ‘Roho Mtakatifu’ (holy spirit) asks me if I have brought anything for ‘Jehovah’ before he can give me audience.

“Vile unavyo ona Jehovah amezeeka na ana mabibi wengi na vile vile watoto chungu nzima. Ukienda kuongea naye lazima utoe kitu mzuri,” ‘Roho Mtakatifu’ says. (As you can see Jehovah is old and has many wives and children. You must give him a substantial gift after the interview.)

After complying with this condition a young man is sent to go and request ‘god’ to allow me in his presence. The young man kneels before addressing ‘god’, who accepts my request.

I enter a small open hut where ‘Jehovah’ is seated and after exchanging pleasantries, he demands to know the reason for my visit.

The ‘Creator’

Wife Sarah Navai, also known as ‘Roho Mtakatifu’, kneels before her master.

He then asks if I have brought anything for ‘Jehovah’ because he has a family to feed and is too old to travel long distances.

After explaining the purpose of my visit, I pose my questions: Has he been to heaven? When does he plan to end the world? Is he in touch with Jesus and how? Has he performed any miracles? Why is he living in abject poverty if he really is God?

Wanyonyi is clearly shocked that I have the audacity to ask him such questions.

“You humans will simply perish because of your foolishness,” he replies sternly. “How dare you ask your father if he knows his home or talks to his children?”

After the outburst he is silent for about a minute, then looks upwards and asks ‘Jesus’ to pardon me for doubting the ‘creator’. There follows a tense moment and I fear the interview might come to an abrupt end.

His wives and children are equally appalled by my questions and stare at me as if I have lost my mind.

‘Jehovah’ sneezes and asks for a handkerchief and his crown, which are brought to him by one of his wives, who kneels before handing them over.

Stop the sun

“Go tell your people that one of these days, I will stop the sun at midday and it will not proceed to set for three months. You will all come running to me for forgiveness due to your lack of faith,” he tells me.

To my relief, he allows the interview to continue and says that we are no different from the many unbelievers who have tried to kill him to see if he truly is God.

“I cannot die,” he declares. “I came to conquer the world. This is just your flesh that I am wearing but I’m the lord your god. Those who believe in me will not perish.”

It is 11am and as the interview progresses, his followers stream into the compound.

They bow and kneel before him as they exchange greetings. All refer to him as ‘Jehovah’. He has a special chair with ‘Jehovah’ inscribed on it.

“If there was any other god superior to me, would he allow an impostor to live? He would have killed me with lightning for pretending. I would do the same to anyone pretending to be me, your god,” Wanyonyi explains.

Displaying his palms, Wanyonyi claims to have created the earth just as it is written in the book of Genesis.

He will end the world in the way as it is written in the holy book, he adds.

“I will turn the sun into fire, resurrect the dead and embark on judgement. I will create 12 doors in heaven through which the righteous will go while fire will be on earth where the sinners will burn for eternity,” says Wanyonyi.

He says he has no fixed abode because wherever he goes, unbelievers chase him away accusing him of blasphemy.

Weapons of death

“I only settled in Uasin Gishu about three years ago and almost immediately about 200 youths attacked me and wanted to slash me to see if blood would come out,” he says.

The youths, armed with machetes, demanded that he gets out of his house to face their weapons and death. But he remained indoors and they were afraid to break into the house to get him.

“I knew they would not kill me and did not go out to face them because I did not come to this world to die like my son Jesus,” he says.

Neighbours and his wives corroborate the story and confirm that indeed youths attacked his home one night.

According to them, the youths comprised of locals and others who had followed Wanyonyi from his previous home at C,hwele, Bungoma District, from where he was chased away.

“I’m certain they had been sent to kill me. They want to kill me but I am beyond death,” he says and breaks into prolonged laughter.

One of his grass-thatched houses is his throne. Due to his large family, food is cooked on about 20 fireplaces constructed outside.

Wanyonyi, or ‘Jehovah’ as he insists on being called, was born in Kamukuywa in the larger Bungoma District, to parents he says are now in heaven.

“When I was born, my parents knew I was god and they took good care of me. I did not go to school. Instead I embarked on seeking followers,” he says.

He has four married sisters who, says, recognise him as their god rather than their brother.

Wanyonyi says all his wives and 75 children will accompany him to heaven so long as they do not sin.

“If they sin they die here on earth because I have sired them with humans,” he says.

Wanyonyi says he had intended to marry 400 wives but the thought of begetting many children who would succumb to ‘this sinful world’ made him change his mind.

None of his wives or children has ever fallen sick, he claims. And because he is not human, he also does not fall ill.

“My only regret is that you humans have refused to take care of me,” he complains adding the warning that if people fail to do so in the next five years, they will regret it.

Save the world

And although he has harem, Wanyonyi says men will be judged harshly when the world comes to an end because they worship women.

“You worship women and that is why there is so much immorality in the world. Unless men change, they will be severely punished for idolising women,” he warns.

Wanyonyi cautions that churches will lead many people to hell because they are full of people who are hypocrites and liars. He does not go to church and says that since he is God, his followers instead come to his home for blessings, especially on Saturday, which he says is the Sabbath day.

“I have a sizeable number of followers and I do not mind that. I am not after offerings to make me rich. I have come to save the world and not to make money. That is why I’m not rich as you would expect,” he says.

His parting words: “Do not let church leaders deceive you because they are led by the Satan who has also blocked yours eyes and minds to the fact that I am lord your God. Come to me instead.”

My Comment:

May God forgive you for your evil ways and bring you to repentance if you can really repent.

Texas Christian University

The church-affiliated Texas Christian University has announced plans to allocate apartment housing on its Fort Worth campus for homosexual students and their supporters.

According to a report in the city’s Star-Telegram newspaper, the school plans to open a section of the Tom Brown-Pete Wright apartments for "lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender students and allies."

The school also will have two living groups that are designated "Christian-based" and others for fine arts and other themes, the report said.

"It’s a chance for students to be part of a unique experience," David Cooper, associate chief of residential life, told the newspaper.

Shelly Newkirk, a TCU sophomore who applied to create the homosexual residence lifestyle, told the newspaper her vision is that homosexuals and straight students will interact and hang out.

Cooper said the university opened its "living-learning communities" to student ideas.

Others coming up include the "Leadership and Strengths Community" for those who want to lead, environmentalists who are collecting in the "Green House" and the Health and Wellness Community.

"I think it’s wonderful that TCU is offering this," Nancy Tubbs of the LGBT Resource Center at the University of California-Riverside told the paper.

The report said a fraternity for homosexuals opened at the University of North Texas in 1998 but lasted only a few years before closing.

On the paper’s forum page, the reaction ranged widely.

"So let me get this straight. TCU now supports segregation?" wrote one contributor.

"Some of you will no doubt be SHOCKED to learn that ‘Christian’ does not necessarily mean ‘anti-gay.’ TCU is affiliated with the Christian (sic) Church (Disciples of Christ), a denomination that does not have anti-gay policies. … I’m just glad that some are trying to turn ‘Christian’ back into a term for love rather than the curse word that so many of you have caused it to be," said another.

Yet another was terse: "sick."

I urge you to take your time to read this post and also watch the first video and get the word out there for this is clearly from the devil himself, also if you have the time please watch the second video which is a rebuttal to the first video the Zeitgeist, I will spend time watching them too. For I have a lot to learn especially with regards to our Christian traditions for I agree with Richard Rives that:He thinks it makes a profound one, contending, "If Christianity does not start telling the truth about the fact that many Christian traditions never had anything to do with Jesus, the antichrists will continue to claim a substantial victory." I so agree with this point . . . we have a duty to help our fellow brethren to understand what True Christianity is about, which a lot of us including myself do not really get…. sadly.

An online movie documenting the close ties between ancient pagan religions and today’s Christianity is "antichrist" in nature, destroying the faith of believers by combining some astonishing truth with plenty of error.
That’s the claim of a Christian historian and author who, ironically, has himself been educating the public about the impact heathen sun worship has had on traditional Christianity.
Richard Rives, author of "Time is the Ally of Deceit" and "Too Long in the Sun," is sounding the alarm about "Zeitgeist," a 2007 documentary written and narrated by Peter Joseph, a freelance film editor, composer and producer in New York City.

Literally meaning "spirit of the time," "Zeitgeist" was released on DVD and the Internet, and Joseph claims it has been viewed more than 50 million times on Google Video, and more than 100 million times when other formats and public screenings are taken into account.

You’ve never seen a probe into biblical history like this! Learn the truth with Richard Rives’ "Time is the Ally of Deceit" complete book and DVD collection
While portions of the documentary suggest the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, were an "inside job" and the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank is a tool for social control and world domination, "Part One" of the movie explores similarities between today’s Christianity and ancient cultures that worshipped sun gods by a variety of different names.
It concludes Jesus of Nazareth is merely a fictional character, a combination of many fabled solar messiahs.

Joseph explains in his film:

  • Horus was born on December 25th of the virgin Isis-Meri. His birth was accompanied by a star in the east, which in turn, three kings followed to locate and adorn the newborn savior. At the age of 12, he was a prodigal child teacher, and at the age of 30 he was baptized by a figure known as Anup and thus began his ministry. Horus had 12 disciples he traveled about with, performing miracles such as healing the sick and walking on water. Horus was known by many gestural names such as "the Truth," "the Light," "God’s Anointed Son," "the Good Shepherd," "the Lamb of God," and many others. After being betrayed by Typhon, Horus was crucified, buried for three days, and thus, resurrected. …
  • Attis, of Phyrigia, born of the virgin Nana on December 25th, crucified, placed in a tomb and after three days, was resurrected.
  • Krishna, of India, born of the virgin Devaki with a star in the east signaling his coming, performed miracles with his disciples, and upon his death was resurrected.
  • Dionysus of Greece, born of a virgin on December 25th, was a traveling teacher who performed miracles such as turning water into wine, he was referred to as the "King of Kings," "God’s Only Begotten Son," "the Alpha and Omega," and many others, and upon his death, he was resurrected.
  • Mithra, of Persia, born of a virgin on December 25th, he had 12 disciples and performed miracles, and upon his death was buried for three days and thus resurrected, he was also referred to as "the Truth," "the Light," and many others. Interestingly, the sacred day of worship of Mithra was Sunday.

While many of today’s Christians might recognize similarities to their own beliefs, they may be unaware some pieces of information in the film are not biblical at all.

For instance, the Bible does not assign Dec. 25 as the date of Jesus’ birth, and "three kings" or "three wise men" are never mentioned in the related gospel accounts.
As WND previously reported, no wise men at all are shown to be visiting baby Jesus the night he was born in Bethlehem and laid in a manger. The Book of Matthew states an unspecified number of wise men showed up later to meet Jesus for the first time in a "house" when Jesus was a "young child."
"What is happening is that ‘antichrists’ are turning the false traditions of the theologians right back on them and the theologians do not have a biblical leg to stand on," Rives told WND. "All those who present the traditions of men can do is throw up their hands in defeat. The theologians know it and so do the antichrists such as ‘Zeitgeist.’"
Rives, also
known for his hunt for the Ark of the Covenant, added, "Millions of believers have watched ‘Zeitgeist’ and many are throwing away their long held faith in Jesus as a result. I am receiving calls from people concerned about family members who are doing just that."
Rives has designed a PowerPoint presentation to educate people about what is true and what is not when it comes to "Zeitgeist," and has recently created a
rebuttal website featuring videos he posted on YouTube.

Rives states in his video response:

An attempt is also made to associate Jesus with Easter and the worship of the fertility goddess. While being right about the pagan nature of Easter, once again they are wrong about Jesus. The Jesus of the Bible was not crucified at the time of Easter. The Bible never says that. He was crucified at the time of Passover. It was almost three hundred years after the birth of Christ before the Council of Nicaea set that date. Even then, what they did was actually change the date for the observance of Passover. Theologians know that and so do the producers of "Zeitgeist."

But does knowing all this information make any difference?
Rives thinks it makes a profound one, contending, "If Christianity does not start telling the truth about the fact that many Christian traditions never had anything to do with Jesus, the antichrists will continue to claim a substantial victory."

Joseph rejects the notion "Zeitgeist" is an attack on Christians.
"The only thing the film addresses is ideology and beliefs," he explains. "Sadly, many don’t realize that one’s ideology is not them. We are emergent beings and everything we believe is taught to us one way or another. Therefore, to say the film is attacking ‘Christians’ is about as absurd as saying the film attacks people with baseball caps."
Joseph calls the claims propaganda to stop people from critically analyzing the information he presents.
"The same kind of propaganda has materialized where the project has been called ‘new world order,’ ’satanic’ ‘Marxist’ and other irrational, thoughtless distinctions not worth bringing up."
Meanwhile, Peter Joseph – who actually goes by his first and middle names, preferring not to disclose his last name – is continuing to spread his message through seminars and support of the worldwide
Zeitgeist Movement.
On March 15, which his group calls
"ZDay," short for "Zeitgeist Day," he headlined a large New York gathering, one of an estimated 1,800 similar events in 70 countries.
At that event, according to the New York Times, Joseph said he had recently "moved away from" the idea of the 9/11 attacks being an inside job.
The Zeitgeist Movement says its ultimate aim is global "unity and equality."
According to its website, "The goal is to revise our world society in accord with present day knowledge on all levels, not only creating awareness of social and technological possibilities many have been conditioned to think impossible or against ‘human nature,’ but also to provide a means to overcome those elements in society which perpetuate these outdated systems."
The movement takes a harsh view of any religion, claiming, "we have been conditioned by society to think that crime, corruption and dishonesty is ‘the way it is’ and that there will always be people who want to abuse, hurt and take advantage of others. Religion is the largest promoter of this propaganda, for the ‘us and them’ or ‘good and evil’ mentality promotes this false assumption."

Crazy Love You won’t believe this ad from a Christian Church, at first I laughed at the pics when I saw it but then I was saddened that many will definitely support this type of teachings that do nothing for the soul and even the body so I would not know why Pastors are spending much time teaching people about sex and sexy sermons.

sad2 Friend you would not believe this website offers subscriptions for one to be prayed for by a computer program, This is totally wrong and unscriptural. This is Idolatry!!! Am sure you will find the site scary to say the least, Do you want to pray for luck? Do you want A nice, short prayer, that has all the basic essentials important in a daily prayer? Am afraid this tells of what we should expect in the future in our world where the doctrines of the new agers and the one World religion promulgators will be shoved down our throats and only then will the elect of God stand and defend their faith in Christ. my dear friend Fishhawk of the blog Asthecrackerheadcrumbles drew my attention to the site for he said he knew I would be interested in this and I am but, it is really sad that many Christians and other well meaning human beings will fall for this demonic scheme, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other" (Matt. 6:24). for I wonder which God they are Praying to ? for my God is one God! Halleluyah.

NOTE TO CHRISTIANS: DO NOT PAY FOR PRAYERS; NO MATTER WHAT, IT IS NOT THE WAY OF OUR GOD WHO SENT HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON TO DIE FOR US EVEN WHILE WE WERE YET IN SIN!!!

MATTHEW 10: 7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. 9Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,

The Bible talks about the Great Apostasy

1 timothy 4:1,1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons

2 Thessalonian2:3 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Nehemiah 9:6 "Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou has made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their hosts, the earth, and all things that are therein"

My dear friend Jerry pointed out to  me that I left out, an important part of this post: He said, !For the kind of prayer that He delights in hearing comes from our hearts, and involves us just wanting to talk to Him.  This is something that cannot be planned”.

Of course Prayer is our way of communicating with our God and no machine can do that for us. So in a way, I see that not only is it sinful to subscribe to this types of Prayer services but, I think it is also a covert way for the devil to make people (Christians) prayerless or worse of make them feel there is no need to communicate with God …. which is why He created us in the first place i.e. to fellowship and worship Him in the beauty of His Splendor and Holiness

NOTE: anyone who is willing to visit such sites and request for Prayers  should please drop a Prayer request on this site or any other site  that offers the Prayer Request form for free and you shall surely be Prayed for, in the spirit of fellowship but, that does not in any way  take away the quality time you should have with your God and Maker.

One of the nation’s most prominent dictionary companies has resolved the argument over whether the term "marriage" should apply to same-sex duos or be reserved for the institution that has held families together for millennia: by simply writing a new definition.

"I was shocked to see that Merriam-Webster changed their definition of the word ‘marriage,’ a word which has referred exclusively to a contract between a man and a woman for centuries. It has now added same sex," YouTube user Eric B. noted to WND.

The 1992 Webster’s Dictionary does not mention same sex at all," he wrote.

He created a YouTube video illustrating his concerns, which has been embedded here:

The new definition references "marriage" as the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife. But the definition also includes "the state of being united to a person of the same sex in a relationship like that of a traditional marriage."

One commenter on the YouTube site said it’s just part of the campaign by homosexual activists to take control of the definition of the word and make it align with their goals.

"The word ‘marriage’ has never been synonymous with same sex relationships," said the forum participant. "What is happening is the meaning is being changed to trigger it becoming synonymous, not the other way round."

This excerpt is from a 1992 dictionary

A dictionary version from 1913 that has been posted online not only didn’t mention same-sex "marriage," it supplemented its definition of traditional marriage with references from the Bible.

Get "The Marketing of Evil: How Radicals, Elitists, and Pseudo-Experts Sell Us Corruption Disguised as Freedom" here.

"Marriage," it said, is "the act of marrying, or the state of being married; legal union of a man and a woman for life, as husband and wife … Marriage is honorable in all. Heb. xiii.4."

It also references a quote from "Matt. xxii. 2," "The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king which made a marriage for his son."

The dictionary’s new definition of marriage

But today, even the basic Webster’s New World College Dictionary lists "same-sex marriage," and the Learner’s Dictionary cites "a similar relationship between people of the same sex."

Webster declined to respond to a WND request for a comment, but to a WND reader, the company denied an agenda.

"We often hear from people who believe that we are promoting – or perhaps failing to promote – a particular social or political agenda when we make choices about what words to include in the dictionary and how those words should be defined," associate editor Kory Stamper wrote in response.

"We hear such criticism from all parts of the political spectrum. We’re genuinely sorry when an entry in – or an omission from – one of our dictionaries is found to be offensive or upsetting, but we can’t allow such considerations to deflect us from our primary job as lexicographers."

Stamper justified the redefinition, too.

"In recent years, this new sense of ‘marriage’ has appeared frequently and consistently throughout a broad spectrum of carefully edited publications, and is often used in phrases such as ’same-sex marriage’ and ‘gay marriage’ by proponents and opponents alike. Its inclusion was a simple matter of providing our readers with accurate information about all of the word’s current uses," Stamper wrote.

quarreling Couple Funny I said , “High” as if there should be even “low” assault rates in the Christendom!? this has become a terrible trend in in that, almost every other month you hear of notable men of God falling for this same weakness (hitting a woman). It is not the constant increasing rates of divorce, it is now the redesigning of woman’s faces that we are dealing with now, how low can we go!? it is not easy to say who is at fault here but judging by what the Bible says about women being the weaker sex . I think  men should be able to restrain themselves even in most extreme cases where the woman just refuses to back down from an argument (for we women can sure argue our point to a fault) some of us will let go of the Holy Spirit and let go of all self restraint and lash out at the man and forgetting that as much as we like to see and believe that men are strong willed and powerful in the home, they also feel pain and are also anxious about their future like women too but too many women do not understand men’s pain for it is different from theirs while a woman is worried about “what type of cloth she is going to wear for an occasion a man is busy thinking of money and work or if he can keep on taking care of the family in the coming years” not that we do not have irresponsible men but we also have irresponsible women too, but in most cases men would be men and women will act like women. . . as we have all seen.

My point is that before a man gets married he has made up his mind to spend the rest of his life with this woman and for some reasons( devil prowling seeking who m to devour) he may not live up to his marriage vows and then all hell let’s loose. when this happens it is the woman’s duty to Pray not to nag and fight him,(and not be ignorant of the devils devices) for whether you like it or not a man with a made up mind is not easily swayed by emotions (that is why till date some women still wonder why their men left them for no reasons) it is not every man that is moved by tears, especially when he wants what he wants, he goes after it till he is fed up and then he may come back home.

With the matter at hand being that Pastors and men of God are no longer restrained, they beat their wives at the drop of a hat, some beat and listen later, what is going on brothers in Christ? if your wife is nagging you go into a quiet place and cool off for  while instead of reacting on impulse, and if you are not living up to your responsibilities try your best to be there for you family after all you stated the  family, why tear it down with your own hands! it is not wise. . . the devil is an expert at making us destroy ourselves with our own hands of course he will aid in the process but subtly

As for the women please allow the wisdom of God to guide your thought processes for I know women can think all kinds of crazy stuff to the extent that we become paranoid with rage and destroy the gift of God to us (our homes). Also the too much TV exposure cannot be good for your kids and family members, for the life of me I cannot understand why you would want your husband you once loved to be trashed on TV or on Newspapers, do they not know that these things will make reconciliation harder? what happens when the film crew are no longer interested in your stories? what will you be doing then? (am not supporting the men here but I wonder what some women think they are doing) Maybe am speaking as an African woman. . . who knows. in my place we have a proverb that says “two people don’t go mad at the same time” meaning one of the couple should show restraint when the other is going of the rails.  Where is God in all of this!!!??? Ephesians 5:22-25, 28-29 22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 28So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

Saturday, March 14, 2009 from the ShotgunBlog

toddbentley At last, new trophy wife in tow, Todd Bentley, the Canadian evangelist who has been having many problems over the past year (to put it lightly) has entered rehabilitation. Over seven months after the collapse of his internationally famous revival in the U.S., he has at last gotten around to going to North Carolina to come under the mentoring of charismatic leader Rick Joyner. Mr. Joyner is to help him return to ministry. Yet, already, in the annoucements and videos that are coming out with Mr. Bentley, there’s more backspin than at a convention of billiards players evident, which is not a good omen for those hoping that Mr. Bentley can return to his work with integrity and a good character.

As videos began to be released a couple of days ago, there was a flurry of commentary and a bit of news coverage. Blogger Miriam Franklin has already weighed in with several pointed critical posts on Mr. Joyner and Mr. Bentley. I’d defintely agree with her on one point she has made, namely that people are concentrating too much on Mr. Bentley’s divorce and quickie remarriage to Jessa, whose affair with the evangelist seems to be the proxinate cause of the "Lakeland revival". Not so. The affair was a symptom not a cause. That is to say, Mr. Bentley had a character problem that exhibited itself in lying from the pulpit about, for example, raising people from the dead. There were some aberrant, heretical things being said and done at Lakeland. And he was canoodling with a younger, prettier intern while his wife was either watching the kids or taking the pulpit herself to promote what her husband was doing. Marrying Jessa will likely not fix what leads to these sorts of actions.

My blogging friend Bene Diction makes an excellent point in a post that notes that many prominent charismatic groups and churches are slumping in the amount of people that are logging on to their sites. This relates to several things that I have been seeing on The Elijah List, an e-list that caters to charismatics, to the effect that people with alleged prophetic insight are commenting that God will bring Christians through the current economic woes, or bless them in amazing ways financially. There are reports of layoffs at ministries, and the tone of requests for donations has been stepped up. All this backs up Bene Diction’s suspicion that there may be a lot of pressure to get Bentley out on the road prematurely so, as the "star" of the "Lakeland revival", he can start to draw the crowds again.

Mr. Joyner’s first letter, announcing that Bentley and new wife had arrived, also noted that Mr. Bentley has a new ministry, Fresh Fire USA, which is organized under Mr. Joyner’s own ministry for now. Those wanting to help Mr. Bentley were offered Fresh Fire USA’s address. So, I had to smile when religion editor Frank Lockwood of the Arkansas Democrat, on his religious news blog, titled his note on Mr. Bentley’s restoration process: "Sorry about the adultery. Please send $$$" .

Charisma, the magazine of record for charismatic Christians in the U.S., is covering this too. Their own story has an intestesting note. At the tail end of Bentley’s time in Florida, a team of charismatic leaders and ministers lead by C. Peter Wagner held a special commissioning service for Bentley which was broadcast worldwide via Internet, in which the "Revival Alliance" members predicted that Bentley would go from success to success. They welcomed Bentley as a member of their group and even gave him a special ring, but Charisma’s story quotes Revival Alliance member John Arnott (known for pastoring the "Toronto Blessing" in the 1990s) as saying that Bentley is no longer considered a "member in good standing" of their group. Mr. Wagner and Mr. Arnott revealed some of Bentley’s misdeeds in the aftermath of his leaving the revival, so Mr. Bentley has evidently decided to form alliances with those who are more sympathtic to him, such as Mr. Joyner.

Mr. Joyner features in another Charisma item as well. Charisma editor J. Lee Grady, in his latest column,  is disgusted with the rush to bring Bentley back too quickly, calling it a "travesty". Mr. Grady is righteously indignant, but what I find telling is Mr. Joyner’s response. He writes, in part:

Lee, I love some of the things you write, but I also feel that some are straight from the mouth of the accuser.

I’ll need to translate this for non-Christians. Mr. Joyner is referring to Revelation 12:10 which mentions that Satan is the "accuser of the brethren" (i.e. christians). So, what Mr. Joyner is saying here is that Mr. Grady, editor of a charismatic Christian magazine, is channeling Satan, basically.

It should go without saying that if you are a professing Christian, one of the worst possible insults that you could use would be to say that your opponent is being used by the devil as a ventriliquist dummy.

One would think that "fighting dirty" would be abhorrent for a Christian such as Mr. Joyner.

Mr. Joyner, as the conservative site  Apologetics Index notes has a history of doing other things that would raise the eyebrows of many Christians. He has a reputation of being "prophetic" and having special insight from the Lord, but non-Christian sceptics would no doubt be amused that he occasionally sees through a glass very darkly, such as his prediction of Los Angeles being levelled by an earthquake and nuclear bombs in the 1990s.

Mr. Joyner’s occasiional intemperance, as exhibited in his response to Mr. Grady, may also be shown in one of his famous prohetic words, in his book The Final Quest, about the "Blues and the Grays". He predicts a coming civil war in Christianity, with the winning side (of which Mr. Joyner is a part, of course) defeats the Christians who have been misled by Satan being defeated and removed from their positions of authority in the church.  We must "remove the cancer from our midst" he writes in his book. (I wonder, given the violence waged between Christians in history, and in our own time, whether it is appropriate to share these sorts of visions in public. Certainly, Christians should "contend for the faith", but so sadly, they do not need encouragment to turn to violence in the direst of circumstances.)

I note these things and note that Mr. Bentley, when not kneeing cancer victims in the stomach, has often delighted in telling his audiences about times that he has kicked old ladies in the head with his biker boot and such. (As I write, some of these stories are preserved on YouTube.) Amongst the fruits of the Holy Spirit that should be exhibited by an evangelist such as Mr. Bentley are meekness, gentleness and self-control. I have to ask whether Mr. Bentley’s mentor, Mr. Joyner, would be effective in advising him here when Mr. Joyner himself–this week–accuses his opponents of speaking on Satan’s behalf, and cherishes visions of winning a "war in the church". Yes, often the flawed have to help the flawed, but this is not promising.

On to the videos that have been released to explain Mr. Bentley’s rehabilitation process. The first video from Mr. Joyner’s ministry has Mr. Bentley himself as a guest. I’m posting a copy of most of the first video that has been saved on YouTube in case the videos start to disappear from Mr. Joyner’s own website:

Some things that jump out at me:

1. You’ll notice that Mr. Bentley is full of talk of mistakes and errors, but never mentions the word "sin". Even Jimmy Swaggart had the grace to cry "I have sinned," when he next appeared before the public after he sinned.

Not that people would demand a pound of flesh, of course. But talk of sin and sinning would indicate that Mr. Bentley is a lot more serious about making things right than his critics think that he is. The evangelist already has the problem that it took him over half a year to begin this supposedly important process, so he needs to be seen to be taking it seriously.

2. I don’t really believe that in an age of fax, e-mail and videoconferencing that it was impossible for Mr. Bentley to be working on his visa appeal with the U.S. custonms officials while moving to North Carolina. I’m sure that it is done all the time for compassionate reasons, for example. I sincerely doubt that it would be impossible as Mr. Bentley implies.

3. As a Canadian, I am a little dismayed to hear Mr. Bentley say this:

"….Shonnah’s doing everything she can to help with my immigration process…."

It would appear that Mr. Bentley is tring to become a landed immigrant or even a U.S. citizen. No points for guessing that his marriage to Jessa was designed to help with this.

If we grant for a moment that Mr. Bentley’s faith, giftings and burden to convert non-Christians are valid, this is sad. Yes, Canadian christians have been moving to the U.S. to pursue their calling since Aimee Semple McPherson, but the United States already has so many ministers and so much resources. If Mr. Bentley is who he says he is, the church in Canada needs  people like him. Of course, his critics would say that Mr. Bentley should not let the door hit him on the behind as he leaves Canada. But the need is acute. If Mr. Bentley’s style of faith-healing evangelism is what is needed, then it is particularly sad that he never devoted much effort to the nearest major city to where he lived, Vancouver. (The last time that he himself ministered in the city was at a medium sized church over five years ago.)

Of course, Mr. Benley’s citics could question how committed Mr. Bentley was committed to "revival" in Canada’s cities and towns in the  first place, based on his decision to move.

4. Mr. Bentley, 7:30 into the video, starts talking about how he dealt with problems as an unsaved teenager:

"….That old [sin] nature in you is when you hurt someone, you just want to give up and run away from the whole thing. That’s how I dealt with pain as I grew up as a child. If I was hurt or rejected or I disappointed my mother or disappointed my father, I just packed up and moved to the next town. When I burned all the bridges there, I just packed up and moved. This time we want to deal with everything square in the face…."

Let’s follow his logic. Mr. Bentley says that it is sinful, or at least immature, to deal with problems by running away from them. This is after he has divorced his wife and not only "packed up and moved to the next town" but moved to the next country. He has "burned all his bridges" with his ex-wife, turning in for a new model, instead of "dealing with everything square in the face" of Shonnah Bentley, his first wife.

How can you teach someone to stand and deal with their problems when they have just run away from most of them? What is preventing Todd Bentley from packing up and giving up on Mr. Joyner’s restoration process when by implication, spending the past few months running from everything that is painful to deal with is quite all right?

Did Mr. Joyner even try to persuade Mr. Bentley to stay with his wife and kids and stay in Canada?

5. An offhand remark of Mr. Bentley’s at the 8:55 mark will raise some eyebrows:

"There’s so much that I’ve learned on all this. There’s triumph. There’s tragedy. And, you know, there’ll be a message. Ther’ll be a whole series of messages…."

Tragedy I can understand. Triumph? The only triumph that there would be is Christ somehow cleaning up the pig’s breakfast that the evangelist has made, but the "restoration process" has only just started. Rather, are we seeing a "triumph of the will" specifically Todd Bentley’s will? He got the wife he wanted. He got the parenting situation that worked best for him. He got a very sympathetic mentor to counsel him. He has a lot that he wants, and that might not be good for him.

Watching this video may bring a sense that Mr. Bentley is not being asked to be serious about his mistakes. This is an unease that is shared, according to Cary McMullen of the Lakeland Ledger newspaper, who has done a lot of great reporting on Mr. Bentley’s revival and its aftermath. In a post on the reaction to the plans to restore Mr. Bentley in "Pentecostal circles", McMullen notes that many  seem to fear that "this is just further evidence that Bentley and his supporters are frauds".

Mr. Bentley and Mr. Joyner have their work cut out for them. If they are truly wanting to do the right thing, there is a lot of scepticism to deal with. Well-founded scepticism, I am afraid.

This world as we know it, is really coming to end!!!

A controversial Italian doctor known for his work allowing post-menopausal women to have children has claimed in an interview to have cloned three babies who are now living in eastern Europe.

"I helped give birth to three children with the human cloning technique," Severino Antinori, a prominent gynecologist, told Oggi weekly in an interview to appear Wednesday.

"It involved two boys and a girl who are nine years old today. They were born healthy and they are in excellent health now."

He did not provide proof of his claims, but said cells from the three fathers, who were sterile, allowed the cloning to be carried out.

The women’s egg cells were impregnated in a laboratory through a method called "nuclear transfer," he said.

Antinori, who became famous after allowing a 63-year-old woman to have a child in 1994, said "respect for the families’ privacy does not allow me to go further."

He added that the method used was "an improvement" over the technique used to clone Dolly the sheep in 1996.

Reminded by the journalist that such cloning is prohibited in heavily Catholic Italy, the doctor said he preferred to "speak of innovative therapies" or "genetic recoding" rather than cloning.

Two weeks ago, Antinori sparked controversy by announcing that he would artificially impregnate a woman whose husband is in an irreversible coma following a brain tumour.

It would be the first procedure of its kind in Italy if successful.

shonnah_bentley mrs_jessa_bentley-c Yes Christians Todd Bentley has finally said I do to his former live in nanny /Mistress (Jessa). But am not going to go into the nitty-gritty of what Todd has done , for I know that He and his Pastor/Prophets sure know what the word of God says  about these things. This is truly a sad story,  every Christian out there should continue Praying for Todd Bentleys first wife (Shonnah) who has had to endure these recent embarrassing situations she found herself in and, remember the Children (my heart breaks for them)  and neither should we forget Todd and the New wife both who have given in to the lusts of the flesh we ought to hope  that they truly repent and find their way to God. For what I can see and  read so far shows  of people with hardened hearts, those who have chosen their own way  instead of Gods way. so sad indeed(sigh)

Read the full story for yourself from Todd Bentleys Chief apologist Rick Joyner (I call him that for he keeps on making excuses for Todd)

Todd Bentley Begins Restoration Process By Rick Joyner

Todd Bentley was used to spark the Lakeland Outpouring, which raised the faith level of much of the body of Christ. Testimonies of healings and miracles from it are now virtually all over the world. When Todd’s marriage failed, he abruptly stopped all ministry and virtually disappeared for almost nine months. In the meantime, his divorce was finalized and he has recently remarried.
Todd has taken full responsibility for the failure of his marriage. He and Jessa also admit that their relationship was premature and should not have happened the way it did. Both are adamant that it was not the cause for the failure of his first marriage, nor did they begin their relationship until Todd was convinced that his marriage was over. They have both expressed that it was wrong and premature. They do not want to try and cover this up even though they know many will never accept them for it. Even so, they are married now and are resolved to make the most of their marriage, their lives, and to continue to serve the Lord in the best way that they can.
My position all along has been that I will do my best to comply with Galatians 6:1, “If a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted” (NKJV). To obey this Word, I have always felt that it did not matter what one had done, and that it was my responsibility to help them find the grace of God to return to the place from which they had fallen. I confess that with Todd, I am not just doing this as a duty. From the time I first met him nearly ten years ago, I knew that he had an extraordinary purpose and a gift of faith for the miraculous that would be desperately needed in these times. I consider helping any of God’s children an honor, and helping Todd is a privilege.
I also confess to some selfish ambition in wanting to do this. I had a dream two decades ago in which one of my children had fallen into a sewage ditch and could not get up. My child was being scorned and no one would help him. A man came along who helped my child get up and then cleaned up. In that dream, I felt as if I would give everything that I owned to this man who helped my child. Then I heard the voice of the Lord say, “Jim Bakker is My child. Will you help him?” Since that time, I have been devoted to helping any of God’s children that I could who have committed any trespass, because I knew there were few other things that would bring the Father’s favor. I consider this willingness to at least try to help others this way a major reason for the extraordinary favor that our ministry, my family, and I have received. I love Todd and am glad to help him, but I also know by doing this, I will be doing something that means a great deal to our Father.
When we release someone to minister in the body of Christ, we are releasing him or her to minister to God’s own children, and I personally do not do that with anyone who I would not allow to minister to my own family. For all that was done through Todd, and especially at Lakeland, which touched and helped countless thousands, many were also left confused and hurt by the way it ended. I think Todd is even more sensitive to this than I am. Although in some ways he greatly misses being in ministry and praying for people, he wants to be sure that when he comes back that his life and his ministry are on the most solid ground possible so that he does not cause these kinds of problems again.
Jack Deere and Bill Johnson have agreed to be a part of Todd’s restoration process. I asked them to be a part because I know they will probably see things I don’t, but also because both Todd and I trust them and know they would not sign off on something they did not really believe in. However, both of them are going to be involved in this at a distance, and therefore, I will be the main person responsible.
Being a believer in body ministry, I expect our whole leadership team, and to some degree, our whole local church, to be involved in helping Todd and Jessa. Our staff and all from the church that I have discussed this with are very happy about them being here and want to help them in any way that they can.
In future Bulletins, we will go into more detail about what we’re doing and why, as well as what we think was a cause of some of the failures Todd experienced. We will only do this for the sake of helping others avoid the same traps. We know that trust has to be earned and that Todd will have to earn the trust of the body of Christ for future ministry, which will not be easy, nor should it be. Todd, more than most, does not want to jump back into ministry prematurely, even as much as he misses it in some ways.
I for one have been very encouraged by the expressions of grace and genuine concern so many have expressed toward Todd in this situation. It gives me great hope. As we have been constantly reminded, the Lord had great patience with sinners, but He had none for the self-righteous. We’re all here because He had mercy on us, and we know we still need it. However, we also know that true repentance and restoration can only come if we refuse to compromise the clear biblical standards for morality and integrity.

Todd wanted to personally say the following:    It has been a long while since I have spoken publicly and openly. I am sorry for the hurt and confusion that my decisions have caused the body of Christ. It has been a true season of brokenness, hiddenness, and a long process of grieving.
As many of you now know, my previous marriage has endured years of unresolved conflicts. I apologize that it has ended in divorce, and I take full responsibility for my part for the ending of the marriage. I realize that my silence and decisions have caused many of you to feel hurt, confused, and offended. The reason for the silence was for my need of healing, creating a restoration process under a team of qualified leaders, much needed rest after the Lakeland Outpouring, repentance, and the divorce process.
I have now relocated to Fort Mill, South Carolina and have entered into my restoration and healing process under Rick Joyner, Jack Deere, and Bill Johnson. I am confident of this one thing—that God is faithful to His promise and my hope is to be fully restored, strengthened, healed, and to learn from all the mistakes I have made along the way.
Thank you friends and partners for your continued prayers, encouragement, and love. I am committed to the work of the Holy Spirit and confident that the good men around me will help me be restored first as a man, as a husband, and ultimately to fulfill God’s call on my life.

Those of you who were touched by the Lakeland Outpouring do not lose your encouragement. What happened there was from God, and Todd is a true servant of God. He has made some mistakes, and he is trying to get his life back in order, and you can be confident that he will. Throughout the Bible, many of the greatest heroes in it also made some of the worst mistakes. King David, possibly the greatest hero in the Bible after Jesus, made one of the most horrible mistakes, not only committing adultery, but murdering the husband of the woman he committed it with. God knew that was going to happen with David when He called him, and He loved David before, during, and afterward.
One of the remarkable events in the Bible is that the Lord then used Bathsheba to bring forth the heir to the throne, Solomon, and she is part of the genealogy of Jesus. It still stretches me, but we need stretching in the grace of God. At the same time, we must balance it with how God hates divorce, and it is one of the scourges of our times that is tragically hurting many, many people. Marriage is under such an assault now because it is so important. However, legalism will not overcome lawlessness. This situation and similar ones that almost every church and family are now being faced with is one that we need answers for. We cannot run from Him, but must run to Him with our need.
Many of Todd’s friends and former partners have asked if and how they might help to rebuild and establish Fresh Fire USA, which has recently relocated from Abbotsford, BC Canada and is now based at Heritage International Ministries in Fort Mill, SC. Monday, March 09, 200No Religion9

A wide-ranging study on American religious life found that the Roman Catholic population has been shifting out of the Northeast to the Southwest, the percentage of Christians in the nation has declined and more people say they have no religion at all.

Fifteen percent of respondents said they had no religion, an increase from 14.2 percent in 2001 and 8.2 percent in 1990, according to the American Religious Identification Survey.

Northern New England surpassed the Pacific Northwest as the least religious region, with Vermont reporting the highest share of those claiming no religion, at 34 percent. Still, the study found that the numbers of Americans with no religion rose in every state.

"No other religious bloc has kept such a pace in every state," the study’s authors said.

In the Northeast, self-identified Catholics made up 36 percent of adults last year, down from 43 percent in 1990. At the same time, however, Catholics grew to about one-third of the adult population in California and Texas, and one-quarter of Floridians, largely due to Latino immigration, according to the research.

Nationally, Catholics remain the largest religious group, with 57 million people saying they belong to the church. The tradition gained 11 million followers since 1990, but its share of the population fell by about a percentage point to 25 percent.

Christians who aren’t Catholic also are a declining segment of the country.

In 2008, Christians comprised 76 percent of U.S. adults, compared to about 77 percent in 2001 and about 86 percent in 1990. Researchers said the dwindling ranks of mainline Protestants, including Methodists, Lutherans and Episcopalians, largely explains the shift. Over the last seven years, mainline Protestants dropped from just over 17 percent to 12.9 percent of the population.

The report from The Program on Public Values at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., surveyed 54,461 adults in English or Spanish from February through November of last year. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 0.5 percentage points. The findings are part of a series of studies on American religion by the program that will later look more closely at reasons behind the trends.

The current survey, being released Monday, found traditional organized religion playing less of a role in many lives. Thirty percent of married couples did not have a religious wedding ceremony and 27 percent of respondents said they did not want a religious funeral.

About 12 percent of Americans believe in a higher power but not the personal God at the core of monotheistic faiths. And, since 1990, a slightly greater share of respondents — 1.2 percent — said they were part of new religious movements, including Scientology, Wicca and Santeria.

The study also found signs of a growing influence of churches that either don’t belong to a denomination or play down their membership in a religious group.

Respondents who called themselves "non-denominational Christian" grew from 0.1 percent in 1990 to 3.5 percent last year. Congregations that most often use the term are megachurches considered "seeker sensitive." They use rock style music and less structured prayer to attract people who don’t usually attend church. Researchers also found a small increase in those who prefer being called evangelical or born-again, rather than claim membership in a denomination.

Evangelical or born-again Americans make up 34 percent of all American adults and 45 percent of all Christians and Catholics, the study found. Researchers found that 18 percent of Catholics consider themselves born-again or evangelical, and nearly 39 percent of mainline Protestants prefer those labels. Many mainline Protestant groups are riven by conflict over how they should interpret what the Bible says about gay relationships, salvation and other issues.

The percentage of Pentecostals remained mostly steady since 1990 at 3.5 percent, a surprising finding considering the dramatic spread of the tradition worldwide. Pentecostals are known for a spirited form of Christianity that includes speaking in tongues and a belief in modern-day miracles.

Mormon numbers also held steady over the period at 1.4 percent of the population, while the number of Jews who described themselves as religiously observant continued to drop, from 1.8 percent in 1990 to 1.2 percent, or 2.7 million people, last year. Researchers plan a broader survey on people who consider themselves culturally Jewish but aren’t religious.

The study found that the percentage of Americans who identified themselves as Muslim grew to 0.6 percent of the population, while growth in Eastern religions such as Buddhism slightly slowed.
