HAPPY NEW YEAR: THIS IS THE FIRST POST OF THE YEAR 2010
Have you have been wondering, why God won’t let you do this or that thing or just about anything you ‘d like to do as a Christian, (I do not mean sinning ,please). You may want to read the post below to understand the exclusivity of a Christian and why we have to be different, albeit weird to the World.
I also believe this post will put in perspective , stuff we deal with in our Christian lives daily, Both the Spirit filled and ordinary Christians alike, So that we would not keep being frustrated with following Christ, rather follow and Obey Him with Joy…In fact I have more peace as a follower of Christ than any thing else, there is nothing in the World that I want but, everything in Christ I need…Halleluyah!
I must confess also that, This post is more about me than any thing I have read lately, I am so blessed to have been sent this by the “Revival List” , That is not to say that I don’t fight the emotions at times, I have over the years done that, But, I decided to yield totally to His will for my life a long time ago… it was a worthless battle, one that I knew I would always lose if i kept on fighting.
So it is something that I have grown into all my life, I believe this post will help those still struggling with yielding to God and also young and new Christians to come into total obedience to God and see why Others may but, we cannot…. Read the rest of this entry »
Is your defense, your works? You know Jesus but, Does Jesus know You? Turn away from trusting in your own good deeds, and cast your whole self upon Christ. Brethren,You have to listen to this video of Paul Washer, this is problem we all face today, many ask why won’t God just allow people into Heaven when they die, after all they were good Christians while on earth, one cannot be tired of explaining this to people especially new Christians… maybe with this would change that line of thought…I found it resoundingly refreshing to hear again.
THE BATTLE is GETTING HOT -Darren Smith. (5 Jul 09) Author of the “FALL OF BABYLON“
Many people have labeled me as a doomsday prophet over the last few weeks as God has sent the Words He gave me all over the world. The overwhelming response has stretched us to the breaking point….
I would like to share a couple of things with you guys about the whole doomsday thing. I believe that Gods Kingdom will crush all the kingdoms of the world. I also believe that we bring forth His Kingdom when we live the Gospel and not just talk about it.
Just yesterday in the street in Galveston we saw 4 people receive healing and all 4 where born again on the spot. We also had testimony of several that received healing the week before as well. 3 different people received the miracle of getting a house and off the street after we prayed with them last week. As we minister to these people, we share with them the power of God over every aspect of their life and the fact that if they die to this life they are raised with Christ and it is Christ in them, the hope of glory that rules their life.
It’s amazing that people who are in such bondage to sin and so broken by this life can receive and step right into the Kingdom so quickly when many who have been religious all their life still do not live in the power of God. These miracles are available to all who believe and enter into Christ but few ever enter in. We see so many miracles because we are trying to expand the Kingdom of God and not trying to build our own kingdom. Everyday we live a faith Read the rest of this entry »
I haven’t had much time to blog, didn’t want to twitter the recent sad news news we received either because, It just didn’t feel right in my spirit. One has been pondering on the futility of life for the past 2 weeks now, with the recent passing of two of my mums drivers both died one week apart one in a fiery car crash that claimed many lives and involved about 4 cars in all. As for the other driver don’t know much details because he worked with her years ago but he died last week, so we heard … then there is that of Michael Jackson (whom every body loved in my family and World over), Farrah Fawcet and Ed McMahon, it reminds us all of the vanity of all the Mundane activities, we choke ourselves up with daily, the Bible says. . . Vanity of vanities," says the Preacher of Ecclesiastes, "All is vanity… All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.", for what did they all labor for? For what do we all strive for ? to eat and drink? and quarrel and bear grudges? gather and store up riches to our own hurt? become a snare unto another just so we would feel better about ourselves? Abandon our God given responsibilities to God and families in search of the proverbial “golden fleece”, and a new life we so crave and desire, all these… for what!?“What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?”” one can only see that it is only a matter of time before we all come face to face with the king of king and the Lord of Lords. . . what then!? Indeed, how can people avoid what they don’t know is going to happen? None of us can hold back our spirit from departing. None of us has the power to prevent the day of our death. There is no escaping that obligation, that dark battle” Ecc 8:7.
This whole situation brings us back to the question of where will you spend eternity? though a simple question… very pithy indeed! but many would rather not think about that and many would just rather wish it away but, if life is real , so is death … . the Bible warns us to Yes, remember your Creator now while you are young, before the silver cord of life snaps and the golden bowl is broken. Don’t wait until the water jar is smashed at the spring and the pulley is broken at the well. 7 For then the dust will return to the earth, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.
Oh Please God Save us from your Holy Wrath!
In conclusion, The bible also has this to say about life and it’s inevitable end "For what is your life?" asks the apostle James. "It is a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away."
I hope that we all take solace in the strength of the Holy Ghost and remember that Jesus is coming very soon.
The Gospel is not a matter of promising God to do better, nor to amend our sinful ways, nor to reform nor give up the world; but rather, to freely receive the gift of God on the basis of Christ’s blood sacrifice.
Salvation is freely given and freely received. Eternal life is a free gift. We are not saved in any way by our own self-righteous efforts or works. It’s not what you’re doing that gets you to Heaven, it’s where you’re looking. Look to Jesus!
This is a great Easter Message, Who is this King of Glory!!!
This is a message for the body and Soul, Listen to this and be blessed. For what better time to listen to this message than at a time as this when we take into account the Price our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ paid for us on the cross of Calvary.
Psalms 24:7-10
7Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 8Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. 9Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 10Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
“Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?” (Proverb 1:20-22).
There is so much truth available today that you have to not want the information to remain in darkness. The same was true in Bible times. The Bible proclaims in Proverbs 1:20-22 that wisdom crieth out in the streets for people to listen; but they do not. It is interesting that God mentions “scorners” (i.e., critics) and “fools” who hate knowledge. The Bible is brutally honest. Many people are critics. No matter what you say, they simply won’t believe it because they don’t want to believe. The reason why is because they HATE knowledge (i.e., facts and evidence that PROVE them wrong). They Didn’t Listen to Jesus Either
Jesus had the same difficulties with people, who refused to believe Him no matter what He said and did…
“Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? (Matthew 11:2,3).
“If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?…” (John 14:7-9).
“Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe” (Mark 15:32).
“Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him” (Matthew 27:41,42).
“And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself” (Luke 23:36,37).
“And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch. Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not…” (John 10:23-25)
“And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.” (Luke 23:39).
“And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven” (Luke 11:16).
We find a pattern in the Scriptures of unbelievers and doubtful believers who continually placed Jesus on trial… “If Thou be the Son of God.”
Thus, it shouldn’t be surprising to us today that people refuse to believe the truth, even in the face of irrefutable evidence and facts. Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead, made the lame to walk and the blind to see; yet, many of the Jews rejected Him as the Christ and refused to believe His Word. Today, 2000 years later, scornful people are still rejecting Christ’s Word. The problem is NOT a lack of evidence or facts; but rather, a sinful heart of indifference and unbelief. Wisdom Crieth in the Streets
The truth is available if people want it. Although the internet is plagued with heresy and lies, it is also still one of the last remaining bastions of truth. God always makes a way to get the truth to those who desire it. The truth is present amidst the lies, and those who have a good and honest heart will recognize it. There are thousands of informative books available that contain the truth about nearly every subject. We must have enough character to be willing to “buy the truth and sell it not” (Proverb 23:23). Fortunately, most truth is freely available, such as the precious Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The worst place to look for the truth is from the lying newsmedia, from the lying criminal politicians, from the lying public school system, or from today’s lying apostate churches. It is tragic that so many professed “Christians” get their doctrine from the latest New York Times Bestseller. Jesus commanded in John 5:39… SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES!!!
Conclusion
There is proof of God all around us… “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” This Scripture should scare you immensely if you are a professed atheist or Christ-rejecter. God won’t accept any excuses on Judgment Day. All the “proof” you need is outside your front door.
I have met countless skeptics and naysayers who demanded “proof” of the truth I attempted to share with them. It is sad and hypocritical that such people blindly accept the unproven theories of Evolution and the junk science of Global Warming; while simultaneously requiring documentable, irrefutable, incontestable proof of the validity of God’s Word. Why the double standard? it just goes to show that such people hate the truth and you simply can’t talk sense to them.
As I mentioned earlier, There is so much truth available today that you have to not want the information to remain in darkness.
There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm. And he was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods. He practiced in the woods but he could never hit the target. And getting a little discouraged; he headed back to dinner. As he was walking back he saw Grandma’s pet duck. Just out of impulse, he let it fly, hit the duck square in the head, and killed it. He was shocked and grieved. In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile, only to see his sister watching. Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing. After lunch that day grandma said, "Sally, let’s wash the dishes." But Sally said, "Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen today, didn’t you Johnny?" And then she whispered to him, "Remember, the duck?" So Johnny did the dishes. Later, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing, and Grandma said, "I’m sorry but I need Sally to help make supper." But Sally smiled and said, "Well, that’s all right, because Johnny told me he wanted to help." And she whispered again, "Remember, the duck?" So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed. After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally’s, he finally couldn’t stand it any longer. He came to Grandma and confessed that he killed the duck. She knelt down, gave him a hug, and said, "Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing. But because I love you, I forgave you. But I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you." I don’t know what’s in your past. I don’t know what one sin the enemy keeps throwing up in your face. But whatever it is, I want you to know something. The Lord Jesus Christ was standing at the window. And He saw the whole thing. But because He loves you, He has forgiven you. Perhaps He’s wondering how long you’ll let the enemy make a slave out of you. The great thing about God is that He not only forgives, but He forgets.
Attacks on the Christian community of Bauchi State in central Nigeria are continuing despite the declaration of a comprehensive curfew in the state capital.
At least eleven people were killed and over 1,500 displaced, while 14 churches, eight vicarages, one mosque and numerous Christian homes were razed to the ground during a weekend of violence that centered on seven neighborhoods in predominantly-Muslim Bauchi Town.
The violence erupted after the burning of a mosque in the Railway suburb during the early hours of Saturday 21 February that was blamed on Christians. It is now believed to have been the work of militants seeking a pretext for violence in retaliation for events in November 2008, when rioting Muslims were shot dead for defying a government-imposed curfew in Jos, the capital of Plateau State.
CSW has been informed by local sources that on 13 February, a COCIN Church of Christ in Nigeria Church in the Railway suburb of Bauchi Town had requested that worshippers at a nearby newly-erected mosque cease using the church’s premises as a car park. This angered the Muslims, who reportedly threatened to return in large numbers the following weekend “to avenge events in Jos”. CSW was also informed that two weeks prior to the violence, a Cherubim and Seraphim Church was razed to the ground, and that two days prior to the outbreak, a Faith Mission International Church had also been burnt down.
As the violence raged, the Reverend Turde, Secretary of the Bauchi Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, requested the urgent imposition of a comprehensive curfew in Bauchi Town. However, before leaving for Borno State to pay respects for the death of the Shehu of Borno, Governor Isa Yuguda imposed a curfew limited to seven neighbourhoods, consequently allowing the looting and burning to continue elsewhere in the town. Reports indicate that throughout Saturday and Sunday attackers continued to move from church to church and house to house, setting them on fire and attacking their occupants. Despite the eventual imposition of a comprehensive curfew, local sources claim security personnel have not been drafted into the area in sufficient numbers. At least one person is known to have been killed on Monday 23 February, and as reports circulate of “armed men gathering in the bush,” the Christian community fears further attacks.
Many Christians are reported to be fleeing to Jos, in predominantly Christian Plateau State, for safety. Other displaced people are said to be streaming into camps in the army and police barracks in Bauchi Town, where numbers will soon exceed 1500. CSW Nigeria has confirmed that the humanitarian needs in these camps are “significant”.
Chief Executive of CSW Nigeria, Rev Yunusa Nmadu, said: “Christians in parts of northern and central Nigeria are increasingly insecure as it appears that elected officials may be more concerned with serving the interests of one religious group to the detriment of others than with ensuring that every citizen of Nigeria enjoys the rights and freedoms to which we are constitutionally entitled. The continuing killing in Bauchi Town, and the silence of elected authorities in the face of it, does little to dispel this anxiety. It is vital that the state government takes immediate steps to ensure the safety of the Christian community by drafting enough troops to the area to bring an end to the violence, and provides for the pressing needs of those who have lost everything”.
Tina Lambert, CSW’s Advocacy Director in the UK said: “It is of deep concern that despite the imposition of a comprehensive curfew, deaths continue to occur. Most worrying are reports of armed groups that are allegedly gathering for renewed attacks on Bauchi’s Christian community. CSW joins in the call for an immediate increase in the number of security personnel currently assigned to Bauchi Town, and urges the state government to track down and bring the perpetrators of the violence to justice. CSW also calls on both state and federal authorities to ensure that the needs of those who have been displaced by the violence are met and that they are adequately compensated for their losses”.
