From The Spurgeon Archive. The following excerpt is from a sermon titled "The Overflowing Cup." The grateful heart runs over because the fountain of grace runs over. Keep your cup where it is. It is our unwisdom that we forsake the fountain of living waters and apply to the world’s broken cisterns. We say in the old proverb, "Let well alone," but we forget this practical maxim with regard to the highest good. If your cup runs over hear Christ say, "Abide in me." David had a mind to keep his cup where it was, and he said, "I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever." When I preach abroad I always like to go to the same house in the town, and I say to my host, "I shall always come to you, as long as you invite me, for I do not think there is a better house." If a man has a good friend, it is a pity to change him, the older the friend the better. The bird which has a good nest had better keep to it. Gad not abroad, I charge you, but let the Lord be your dwelling-place for ever. Many have been fascinated by new notions and new doctrines, and every now and then somebody tells us he has found a wonderful diamond of new truth, but which generally turns out to be a piece of an old bottle: as for me, I want nothing new, for the old is better, and my heart cries, "Return unto thy rest, O my soul, for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee." Until they find me a better fountain than the Lord has opened in Christ Jesus his Son any soul will abide in her old place, and plunge her pitcher into the living waters. Where my cup is filled there shall it stand, and run over still.
You won’t believe this story on racism! am shocked and so grateful to God for the captain on this particular British Airways flight, to stand up to racism…. which is a terrible evil in our world! I know my country has had it’s share of problems with BA but with this recent news am happy with the Airline for it shows people are learning to be tolerant of others not like them.
A white woman, about 50 years old, was seated next to a black man. Very disturbed by this, she called the air hostess. ‘You obviously do not see it then?’ she asked. ‘You placed me next to a black man. I did not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group. Give me an alternative seat.’ ‘Be calm please,’ the hostess replied. ‘Almost all the places on this flight are taken. I will go to see if another place is available.’ The hostess went away & then came back a few minutes later. ‘Madam, just as I thought, there are no other available seats in Economy Class. I spoke to the captain & he informed me that there is also no seat in Business Class. All the same, we still have one place in First Class.’ Before the woman could say anything, the hostess continued. ‘It is unusual for our company to permit someone from Economy Class to sit in First Class. However, given the circumstances, the captain feels that it would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone so disgusting.’ Then the hostess turned to the black guy & said, ‘Therefore, Sir, if you would like to, please collect your hand luggage, a seat awaits you in First Class.’ At that moment, the other passengers, who’d been shocked by what they had just witnessed, stood up & applauded. This is a true story. If you are against racism, please send this to all your friends; please do not delete it without sending it to at least 1 person. WELL DONE, British Airways
Funny I said , “High” as if there should be even “low” assault rates in the Christendom!? this has become a terrible trend in in that, almost every other month you hear of notable men of God falling for this same weakness (hitting a woman). It is not the constant increasing rates of divorce, it is now the redesigning of woman’s faces that we are dealing with now, how low can we go!? it is not easy to say who is at fault here but judging by what the Bible says about women being the weaker sex . I think men should be able to restrain themselves even in most extreme cases where the woman just refuses to back down from an argument (for we women can sure argue our point to a fault) some of us will let go of the Holy Spirit and let go of all self restraint and lash out at the man and forgetting that as much as we like to see and believe that men are strong willed and powerful in the home, they also feel pain and are also anxious about their future like women too but too many women do not understand men’s pain for it is different from theirs while a woman is worried about “what type of cloth she is going to wear for an occasion a man is busy thinking of money and work or if he can keep on taking care of the family in the coming years” not that we do not have irresponsible men but we also have irresponsible women too, but in most cases men would be men and women will act like women. . . as we have all seen.
My point is that before a man gets married he has made up his mind to spend the rest of his life with this woman and for some reasons( devil prowling seeking who m to devour) he may not live up to his marriage vows and then all hell let’s loose. when this happens it is the woman’s duty to Pray not to nag and fight him,(and not be ignorant of the devils devices) for whether you like it or not a man with a made up mind is not easily swayed by emotions (that is why till date some women still wonder why their men left them for no reasons) it is not every man that is moved by tears, especially when he wants what he wants, he goes after it till he is fed up and then he may come back home.
With the matter at hand being that Pastors and men of God are no longer restrained, they beat their wives at the drop of a hat, some beat and listen later, what is going on brothers in Christ? if your wife is nagging you go into a quiet place and cool off for while instead of reacting on impulse, and if you are not living up to your responsibilities try your best to be there for you family after all you stated the family, why tear it down with your own hands! it is not wise. . . the devil is an expert at making us destroy ourselves with our own hands of course he will aid in the process but subtly
As for the women please allow the wisdom of God to guide your thought processes for I know women can think all kinds of crazy stuff to the extent that we become paranoid with rage and destroy the gift of God to us (our homes). Also the too much TV exposure cannot be good for your kids and family members, for the life of me I cannot understand why you would want your husband you once loved to be trashed on TV or on Newspapers, do they not know that these things will make reconciliation harder? what happens when the film crew are no longer interested in your stories? what will you be doing then? (am not supporting the men here but I wonder what some women think they are doing) Maybe am speaking as an African woman. . . who knows. in my place we have a proverb that says “two people don’t go mad at the same time” meaning one of the couple should show restraint when the other is going of the rails. Where is God in all of this!!!???Ephesians 5:22-25, 28-29 22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 28So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. This is what being a Christian and having the mind of Christ is all about , Oh what a woman! my heart goes out to the whole family.I Pray that the Lord gives us the heart to forgive those who hurt us and may we not be tempted beyond what we can handle in Jesus Mighty Name Amen. This woman is truly a blessing she makes me feel terrible about things I take seriously each day, Like what happened to me today, one of many life’s struggles I face but with God on our side we shall surely overcome Amen. Once again I want to say a big God bless you to this wonderful woman for God will surely show mercy on her even as she ha shown mercy to another.
(CBS) Last Sunday, a gunman walked into the First Baptist Church in Maryville, Ill., near St. Louis, and opened fire, killing pastor Fred Winters. Two congregants were injured as they wrestled him to the ground. The alleged gunman, Terry Sedlacek, has pleaded not guilty to murder charges. Now, the pastor’s wife says she’s praying for Sedlacek. In an exclusive interview with Early Show co-anchor Julie Chen from inside the church Monday, Cindy Winters said she doesn’t even hold any "hard feelings" against Sedlacek. "I do not have any hatred, or even hard feelings towards him," she told Chen. "We have been praying for him. One of the first things that my daughter said to me after this happened was, ‘You know, I hope that he comes to learn to love Jesus through all of this.’ We are not angry at all, and we really firmly believe that he can find hope and forgiveness and peace through this, by coming to know Jesus. And we hope that that happens for him." Asked what she hopes the criminal justice system does with Sedlacek, Winters replied, "I don’t have any speculation or any idea about that. But I do hope that he finds peace with God. I hope that he comes to understand that God loves him in spite of his sins and that he can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ."
Yes Christians Todd Bentley has finally said I do to his former live in nanny /Mistress (Jessa). But am not going to go into the nitty-gritty of what Todd has done , for I know that He and his Pastor/Prophets sure know what the word of God says about these things. This is truly a sad story, every Christian out there should continue Praying for Todd Bentleys first wife (Shonnah) who has had to endure these recent embarrassing situations she found herself in and, remember the Children (my heart breaks for them) and neither should we forget Todd and the New wife both who have given in to the lusts of the flesh we ought to hope that they truly repent and find their way to God. For what I can see and read so far shows of people with hardened hearts, those who have chosen their own way instead of Gods way. so sad indeed(sigh)

Todd Bentley Begins Restoration Process By Rick Joyner
Todd Bentley was used to spark the Lakeland Outpouring, which raised the faith level of much of the body of Christ. Testimonies of healings and miracles from it are now virtually all over the world. When Todd’s marriage failed, he abruptly stopped all ministry and virtually disappeared for almost nine months. In the meantime, his divorce was finalized and he has recently remarried. Todd has taken full responsibility for the failure of his marriage. He and Jessa also admit that their relationship was premature and should not have happened the way it did. Both are adamant that it was not the cause for the failure of his first marriage, nor did they begin their relationship until Todd was convinced that his marriage was over. They have both expressed that it was wrong and premature. They do not want to try and cover this up even though they know many will never accept them for it. Even so, they are married now and are resolved to make the most of their marriage, their lives, and to continue to serve the Lord in the best way that they can. My position all along has been that I will do my best to comply with Galatians 6:1, “If a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted” (NKJV). To obey this Word, I have always felt that it did not matter what one had done, and that it was my responsibility to help them find the grace of God to return to the place from which they had fallen. I confess that with Todd, I am not just doing this as a duty. From the time I first met him nearly ten years ago, I knew that he had an extraordinary purpose and a gift of faith for the miraculous that would be desperately needed in these times. I consider helping any of God’s children an honor, and helping Todd is a privilege. I also confess to some selfish ambition in wanting to do this. I had a dream two decades ago in which one of my children had fallen into a sewage ditch and could not get up. My child was being scorned and no one would help him. A man came along who helped my child get up and then cleaned up. In that dream, I felt as if I would give everything that I owned to this man who helped my child. Then I heard the voice of the Lord say, “Jim Bakker is My child. Will you help him?” Since that time, I have been devoted to helping any of God’s children that I could who have committed any trespass, because I knew there were few other things that would bring the Father’s favor. I consider this willingness to at least try to help others this way a major reason for the extraordinary favor that our ministry, my family, and I have received. I love Todd and am glad to help him, but I also know by doing this, I will be doing something that means a great deal to our Father. When we release someone to minister in the body of Christ, we are releasing him or her to minister to God’s own children, and I personally do not do that with anyone who I would not allow to minister to my own family. For all that was done through Todd, and especially at Lakeland, which touched and helped countless thousands, many were also left confused and hurt by the way it ended. I think Todd is even more sensitive to this than I am. Although in some ways he greatly misses being in ministry and praying for people, he wants to be sure that when he comes back that his life and his ministry are on the most solid ground possible so that he does not cause these kinds of problems again. Jack Deere and Bill Johnson have agreed to be a part of Todd’s restoration process. I asked them to be a part because I know they will probably see things I don’t, but also because both Todd and I trust them and know they would not sign off on something they did not really believe in. However, both of them are going to be involved in this at a distance, and therefore, I will be the main person responsible.
Being a believer in body ministry, I expect our whole leadership team, and to some degree, our whole local church, to be involved in helping Todd and Jessa. Our staff and all from the church that I have discussed this with are very happy about them being here and want to help them in any way that they can. In future Bulletins, we will go into more detail about what we’re doing and why, as well as what we think was a cause of some of the failures Todd experienced. We will only do this for the sake of helping others avoid the same traps. We know that trust has to be earned and that Todd will have to earn the trust of the body of Christ for future ministry, which will not be easy, nor should it be. Todd, more than most, does not want to jump back into ministry prematurely, even as much as he misses it in some ways.
I for one have been very encouraged by the expressions of grace and genuine concern so many have expressed toward Todd in this situation. It gives me great hope. As we have been constantly reminded, the Lord had great patience with sinners, but He had none for the self-righteous. We’re all here because He had mercy on us, and we know we still need it. However, we also know that true repentance and restoration can only come if we refuse to compromise the clear biblical standards for morality and integrity. Todd wanted to personally say the following: It has been a long while since I have spoken publicly and openly. I am sorry for the hurt and confusion that my decisions have caused the body of Christ. It has been a true season of brokenness, hiddenness, and a long process of grieving. As many of you now know, my previous marriage has endured years of unresolved conflicts. I apologize that it has ended in divorce, and I take full responsibility for my part for the ending of the marriage. I realize that my silence and decisions have caused many of you to feel hurt, confused, and offended. The reason for the silence was for my need of healing, creating a restoration process under a team of qualified leaders, much needed rest after the Lakeland Outpouring, repentance, and the divorce process. I have now relocated to Fort Mill, South Carolina and have entered into my restoration and healing process under Rick Joyner, Jack Deere, and Bill Johnson. I am confident of this one thing—that God is faithful to His promise and my hope is to be fully restored, strengthened, healed, and to learn from all the mistakes I have made along the way. Thank you friends and partners for your continued prayers, encouragement, and love. I am committed to the work of the Holy Spirit and confident that the good men around me will help me be restored first as a man, as a husband, and ultimately to fulfill God’s call on my life.
Those of you who were touched by the Lakeland Outpouring do not lose your encouragement. What happened there was from God, and Todd is a true servant of God. He has made some mistakes, and he is trying to get his life back in order, and you can be confident that he will. Throughout the Bible, many of the greatest heroes in it also made some of the worst mistakes. King David, possibly the greatest hero in the Bible after Jesus, made one of the most horrible mistakes, not only committing adultery, but murdering the husband of the woman he committed it with. God knew that was going to happen with David when He called him, and He loved David before, during, and afterward. One of the remarkable events in the Bible is that the Lord then used Bathsheba to bring forth the heir to the throne, Solomon, and she is part of the genealogy of Jesus. It still stretches me, but we need stretching in the grace of God. At the same time, we must balance it with how God hates divorce, and it is one of the scourges of our times that is tragically hurting many, many people. Marriage is under such an assault now because it is so important. However, legalism will not overcome lawlessness. This situation and similar ones that almost every church and family are now being faced with is one that we need answers for. We cannot run from Him, but must run to Him with our need. Proverbs 23:26, “My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.”‘
Isn’t that a strange request? God is using the words “Give me.” Usually, we are the ones who say, “Give me,”‘ and now the table is turned. That is not the creature saying to the Creator, “Give me,” but rather the Creator saying to the creature, “Give me.” The great Benefactor becomes the petitioner. The great Giver becomes the receiver. The Landlord becomes the tenant. The Provider becomes the beggar. The Satisfied becomes the seeker. The Door seeks entrance. The Living Water thirsts. The Bread of Life is hungry. The Way gropes for your heart. The Prince of Peace fights to get you. God wants your heart.
Why does God want our hearts? There is only one possible reason: He loves us! There is nothing that He needs that we have apart from our love. He is too rich for us to make Him richer. He is too great for us to make Him greater. He is too good for us to make Him better. He is too strong for us to make Him stronger. He is too glorious for us to give Him more glory. If we gave Him all of our goodness, it wouldn’t make Him any better. If we gave Him all of our riches, it wouldn’t make Him any richer. If we gave Him all of our strength, it wouldn’t make Him any stronger. If we gave Him all of our wisdom, it wouldn’t make Him any wiser. If we gave Him all of our knowledge, it wouldn’t make Him any smarter. If we gave Him all of our glory, it wouldn’t make Him any more glorious. If we gave Him all of our greatness, it wouldn’t make Him any greater. If we gave Him all of our power, it wouldn’t make Him any more powerful. He simply seeks after our love. That is why He made us. He wanted somebody to love Him and to fellowship with Him voluntarily. It seems so strange that we should not gladly accept this offer when the great omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent God wants our hearts.
It is so necessary that the Christian give his heart to God first. To give wealth without giving the heart is abomination. To pray without giving the heart is mockery. To sing without giving the heart is sounding brass and tinkling cymbal. To work without giving the heart is insult. To teach without giving the heart is ignorance. To preach without giving the heart is hypocrisy. To serve without giving the heart is fraud. To witness without giving the heart is perjury.
Years ago I faced the reality that I would never be a great orator or scholar and that I did not have great talent. I did, however, realize that I could do one thing as well as anybody. I could give God all my heart. He has a right to my heart and He has a right to your heart, for He gave His heart to us. When He died on the cross, a soldier pierced His side, and the Bible says there came forth blood and water. Doctors tell us that this means the heart had ruptured. He died of a broken heart. He gave you His heart; He wants yours. He says to you today, “Give me thy heart.” The happy Christian responds in the affirmative.
O God, our help in ages past, Our hope for years to come, Our shelter from the stormy blast, And our eternal home
Oh Father Lord my God, we are Grateful for all you have done for us till date. I thank You for the gift of your son Jesus Christ who died for our sins on the Cross of Calvary, I thank you for the Holy spirit and also giving us the fruit and gifts of the Spirit, I thank you for the blood of Jesus that washes away our sins and cleanses us from all unrighteousness. . . we ask that your infinite mercy abide with us now and forevermore.
Brethren we are blessed to be here today . . . I pray that now that 2008 has finally ended , 2009 will be a blessed and better year for us in Jesus Mighty Amen. As I was Praying last night and I asked the Lord what He wanted from me and His People this coming year of 2009 and this was the reply I got after a brief silence . . . My People should give their best to me this Year!!!
it sounded as such a simple request at the time but thinking more on it, it seems very difficult to do . . . but those that are serious with their God will definitely do all they can to please Him AMEN.
My Prayer for the New Year is that. . .
We would seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness,
That the Holy Spirit will guide and defend us daily throughout the year,
I Pray that Jesus Christ would arise and give a Miracle that would make us forget our past troubles,
I Pray for restoration of any stolen virtues (Spiritually, physically, financially) this year,
I Thank God for destroying satanic plans and evil Testimonies over our lives and that of our families,
I Pray that God would arise and let our enemies be scattered ,
This year, We will not be candidates of sweating with little or no result. . . God forbid!
This Year, it will be unto us according to His Word,
This Year Favor, Grace, goodness and Mercy of God will follow us everywhere we go . . . God’s eyes will be on us,

Maybe you are wondering when it will happen, just keep on trusting in His saving Grace do not despair, He will surely come to your rescue this Year as long as you invite Him into your heart and into your situation today. Let Him come and carry your burdens and your sins, give it all to Jesus He is there to carry all the pain, tears , bitterness, resentment, jealousy, envy, unforgiveness, sexual perversion, shame, regrets/mistakes of the past, greed, selfishness, I tell you Nothing is too big to give to Jesus Christ our Lord this New Year . . . I Pray you start this year by giving it all to Jesus and you will never be disappointed. . . For our God is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him

I cannot count how many times I have been tagged but have not responded because I have not been led to do so by the Holy Spirit, but today the Holy Spirit gave me the go ahead so I will use this opportunity to answer all the tags from my great friends like Anna, Adullamite, Valerie lynn and others whom I have forgotten to name here today, so here it goes . . .
These are short but will go along way to tell you who I am and what am like incase you were wondering my friend . . . .The 7 things that I would like to share are:
1) Created fearfully and wonderfully by God Almighty . . . I love my Savior Jesus Christ, I listen to the Holy spirit all the time for direction. I live for God and am His and His alone, I call my God "Daddy" for He is my DADDY. . . Thank You Jesus!!! I believe only God knows His true servants and those that Love Him and keep His commandments.
2) Am the First Child of my Parents, My Name is IJ or Hanna am 5 ft 7in short, brown eyes , light skinned, brown hair, married to a very nice and caring man named "Lucky" who I know God gave to me to wipe away my tears and to believe that not all men are not like my father, also I hold B.s.c Degree in Business Administration from Lagos State University (LASU)
4) Have traveled through my Country but not much to the Northern part (Hausa Land) but been through the Eastern, Western and most part of the southern parts of Nigeria , Outside of Nigeria have been to the following Countries Benin Republic, CotonouEthiopiaandIndia, as you can see I don’t like traveling much , but do hope, God willing someday I may be able to travel the World if necessary
5) Never taken a vacation in my life never went on "honey moon" too I look at those things as waste of time In My Humble opinion ,I have always believed you can vacation while working or doing something important with your life, not lazing around somewhere boring the daylights out of myself and those around me. So I prefer to work and relax a little wherever I am , so no special time to take a break . . . funny but that’s just my way of thinking. Not addicted to anything , don’t indulge my self on anything whatsoever. . .
6) Am content with all that the Lord has showered me with, I love content people and loathe greed/selfishness , I love humility, I love my own space, don’t meddle on other peoples lives ,don’t enjoy talking about myself . I used to be over protective of my family (Siblings) most times making me the enemy for not wanting them to experiment with stuff and do whatever it is they want to do, so yeah, am very unpopular in that area in my family, but God has given me wisdom to go about it nowadays. I let everybody be and ,react when am led by the Spirit of God. also I Find it difficult sleeping at night you could say I suffer from acute insomnia while my husband is the complete opposite you could characterize him as a hypersomniac which is quite urggh so frustrating watching him sleep easily while I Pray for sleep to come at night.
7) I love listening to Music a lot I grew up in a family where my parents always played music so it became part of me, I also I love Mystery Movies, crime and history Channels , I watch a lot of the following Mary Higgins Clark movies and thrillers of any kind, also investigative dramas like Perry mason, Diagnosis Murder, Matlock, Agatha Christies Poirot, Miss Marple, Jake and the fat Man, Father Dowling Mysteries ,Barnaby Jones, Get smart, I also enjoy good comedy shows too like the three Stooges, Charlie Chaplin, Maude , ,golden Girls etc am a big conspiracy person so I watch a lot of these things for one, I do not like to call them conspiracies especially when they appear truthful to me especially when there is physical evidence that confirms what’s in the Scriptures

This is a woman whom I have come to love and respect not only for her Biblical knowledge but also for being a good friend who makes time for others I tell you my friends, that is a quality very rear these days . . . I know.
Secondly yesterday my sweet Naija (Nigeria) sister of mine Bola of Life Magazine bestowed me with the same award , I love you back bola, very much indeed. . . though we live in the same City of Lagos we have not met yet but our God will make us see someday.
Since the rules of this award is to pass it on to seven people I love their blogs in that case am going to look for fourteen of such blogs since I received the award twice, and I do Pray and hope I give it to those who will really appreciate the fact that I love their blog and for those not mentioned please do not take it that I do not love your blog . . .P L E A S E.
What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and grief’s to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! Oh, what peace we often forfeit, Oh, what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer!
Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged— Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful, Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness; Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and heavy-laden, Cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge— Take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer! In His arms He’ll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there.

I think I also loved the way this song was rendered by Brett James in the “Peace In The Valley CD”. I always cry whenever I listen to it, most times back to back because, it makes me remember to take all my issues to God in prayer .
The thing is, whenever am listening to the song. . . it’s like am hearing the voice of Jesus saying to me, why is your heart heavy my Child? why are you afraid? why are your burdened? why are discouraged? bring it all to me in Prayer. Cast it all upon me for am here for you. You needn’t bear this alone, with these words, I know am wrapped in the warm loving arms of the Holy Ghost and am safe , healed and whole.
I tell you that my Spirit becomes lifted when I take everything to Jesus in prayer.
The words in this song is so true and spiritually uplifting.
I urge you to take everything to God in Prayer today. No matter how hard it is. . . I received grace/healing from this song today so am passing it on to you to glorify the Name of the Lord in your life today.

Roberts Weekly Pondering Todd Bentley’s moral failure was publicly exposed this week. There is more that has come forth from young women and pastors from his home town and around the world, so more information should be forthcoming, unfortunately. We have tried to be wise in our reporting, as we felt compelled to report because so many questions were being asked and so many were being influenced by wrongful doctrine and untruthful claims. Many leaders have been deceived and so we know the deception was very powerful, even though many of us were wondering how so many had been caught up in it.
Lakeland was not revival, but there were many who made the journey who were touched. The question was, how could that be? Well we know that God inhabits the praises of His people and there were many who came to worship Him in the Lakeland meetings. Many came expecting, and God met them in their expectation of Him. There were claims of the dead raised and other extravagant miracles, and this simply did not happen. Some people were healed and many were touched in the worship. We have seen in the past from Ted Haggard, William Branham, Paula White, etc., that results can happen regardless of the character and lifestyle of those from the platform. Todd’s lifestyle, character, doctrine, methods, etc., often did not line up with the Word of God and that is why there was such a schism in the charismatic church. Those that supported Lakeland and felt touched and those of us that were watching in shock as we seemed to be watching a completely different story.
We have asked leaders to not put a spin on their involvement and to consider acknowledging that they were duped. I have been duped before and will again. I was fortunate that on this occasion, we had information early on of the deception that was going on. We witnessed how this was in fact perpetrated by man, for man’s agendas. We shared this with many of leaders involved, and many would not listen. Instead they warned us to not come against Todd Bentley, his lifestyle, his methods, or his doctrine, because he was God’s choice to mess with our religion. We were called “revival police”, and other names for asking questions. The fact was that they needed revival police, because there was criminal activity going on. Todd should have been arrested for assault when he kicked a sick man to the ground in Jesus name.
I am hoping that those leaders who supported Lakeland and used the same platform for gain would come forth and admit that they either were too concerned with their own agendas to listen to those who warned them of such things, or they simply just missed it. God TV has an enormous responsibility in all this and ignored wisdom from many leaders regarding this. At the time of this writing, many have back pedaled claiming that they did not lay hands on Todd, or endorse him.It would be refreshing if they came out and said, I am so sorry, please forgive us for our blindness in these matters. And also ask Todd for forgiveness in using his platform, rather than having Todd come down from the platform for the ministry and healing that was needed.
If you have talked to the people who have been hurt by this violence and abuse, you would understand the frustration from many of us. When we questioned staff members, and former staff members about Todd, many used the same words to describe him, Pathological Liar”. These lies in the guise of ministry and Todd’s behind the scenes lifestyle made it difficult for his board and others to discern. I have gotten emails wondering if I am happy now that Todd has been caught in an affair, (see message from Todd’s board). We are not happy about this, it has been sickening and impacts us all. I am saddened for him, for his family, for the other woman, and for all of those who have been hurt through this process and Todd’s lifestyle. I pray for repentance, I pray for mercy, I pray for reconciliation and I pray for total exposure so that Todd can finally get the deliverance and healing he needs. This did not happen 3 years ago, and this led to this sad moment.
I would like to thank all the brave souls out there that stood for righteousness, holiness, and reverence towards the things of God. One man whom I love and respect is Lee Grady. He has been guarded and only released responsibly needed information, and he did so in the love of God, and the love of the truth of His Word. My prayer is that we could all learn from this. It could happen to any of us, if we refuse to walk humbly in the fear of God .We must also choose to walk with those around us that that will provide relational accountability, get in our face when they need to, and encourage us towards righteous living before God and man. Todd has a chance now to be whole for the first time in his life and that is what we should all pray for. We should also pray for a miracle in his family and also for the charismatic church to walk in plumb line truth of God’s Word. We also pray for the church to rid themselves of the self pleasure pursuit of signs and wonders, and adrenaline rush experience, and instead pursue King Jesus and His righteousness in every aspect of our lives. As they die to self, and serve others, they will see signs and wonders follow their lifestyles of obedience while living in His presence.
LETS PRAY AS CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH GOD THAT THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN AGAIN BUT EVEN IF IT DOES THAT WE WOULD BE WATCHFUL AND PRAYERFUL IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME AMEN.
I never knew I would write any article on Todd Bentley, because I deliberately avoided the topic while it was raging all over, even though my husband was very vocal against him and his group then, he is even telling me right now that he is not surprised about this piece of news .
With this recent development in Todd Bentley’s marital life even, there are many questions that Christians need to search for the answers Spiritually and in the scriptures. . . also hold him accountable for the gospel he preached, especially if he is not living it. Enough about the people Preaching something else and doing another, I wonder why some Spirit- filled men and women of God are not on TV? Money . . . I guess
Separation May End Bentley’s Lakeland Appearances
Todd Bentley, the evangelist who has led the Florida Outpouring revival here in Lakeland since April 2, has filed for separation from his wife and might not return to the revival, according to his former local spokesperson, Lynne Breidenbach. She said Bentley made the announcement to his staff this afternoon. Bentley and his wife, Shonnah, have two daughters and a son and are Canadian citizens.
Under Canadian law, separation is a first step in divorce proceedings and takes nine months. Bentley and his wife have been in marriage counseling for several months, Breidenbach said. She called the situation “very sad” but insisted it “doesn’t invalidate what Todd did” at the revival.

The event, which gathered over 2,000 participants from around the world, was called a success by WWME which spoke glowingly of a banner proclamation affirming the commitment to biblical marriage that was signed by thousands of people at the conclusion of its anniversary event. The banner, which included a statement of faith and belief that marriage is an institution existing only between a man and a woman,” featured “Forever Yours” in large print at the top. WWME, which holds events periodically throughout the country, describes its programs as unique and innovative. “It’s not a retreat, marriage clinic, group sensitivity, or a substitute for counseling. It’s a unique approach aimed at revitalizing marriage,” the group says on its Web site. This is a song by Marilyn Baker whom I grew up listening to almost every morning, for which I am so glad to God for her music, it sure did pull me through some hard times. Till date I still cry when I listen to her.
Following Christ has been a reality for me, my goal is to make heaven and to make sure that others around me do so too through the Grace of Christ Jesus my Lord. this passage I live by, without it I don’t know what would have become of my faith in Christ today.
Isaiah 49: 8-11,8 Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages; 9 That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. Earlier on, while walking and working with Christ I was falling in and out of sin and repenting and, asking for forgiveness from preventable sins was like a daily routine for me but one day this passage in the Bible struck me… Acts 17:30 God overlooked people’s former ignorance about these things, but now he commands everyone everywhere to turn away from idols and turn to him.* 31 For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.” making me realize that I can only the play the fool so much, God is not mocked, I can’t keep taking His grace and mercy for granted as I was, and it was about time I surrendered completely to Christ there was no other way for me to go but the way of the Cross and there and then, I promised God to serve only Him forever and I have never gone back on my promise in Jesus Mighty Name Amen (Not that am perfect but I took a stand and pledged my allegiance to Jesus Christ).
Then in 2004 I heard the voice of the Lord say to me an giving you a new name the Lord gave a new Name "Hanna" the Voice said "you are now my Hanna I was like what! Hanna? why Hanna why not Deborah the Judge, "after fighting with the Holy Spirit about it the Lord said go and check the meaning of the two and when I did check it out I was glad I was "favored" by God and blessed by Him.
Time went on and The good Lord instructed that we get married because I was so scared of marriage, don’t ask me why? We Got Married am now living with my husband. We are learning daily in our walk with Christ and the Holy Spirit has been our Chief instructor all these years. and in all our trials and tribulations our God has been a Great God toady we don’t beg for food to eat we can afford the basic things of life and God has continued to show us his marvelous mercies that are new every morning… Amen
Also, I have been privileged to encounter Christ in many different ways over the years, in my dreams and visions and He has kept on reassuring me of His Saving Grace and mercy. for all you skeptics out there… He is Alive and He showed me one day His pierced side… the White garment he was wearing didn’t cover the pierced side but there was no sore on it. Folks Jesus is real and He is coming back again to judge the Earth. Hallelujah!

Today my father is calling on us to come back home that he needs us that we are the family he has, because his people abandoned him when he became poor but he still lives with his new wife of 13 yrs with their two sons., and by the special grace of God , I try to do what I can for him from time to time… but we ve moved on.
